-When I am swimming in a pool alone, I avoid the deep end so the [imagined] sharks don't get me. Seriously, it scares the crap out of me. How weird is it that I can go swimming in the Amazon River, but pools scare me?

-I don't like mayo, yogurt, milk (ew, cow juice), or other thick, creamy dairy because it makes me gag. Cheese, ice cream, and whipped cream are the exception. I can handle sour cream or cream cheese only if they are well-blended into much stronger flavors.

-Double spaces between sentences are just wrong. It's a relic left over from the era of the typewriter. No reputable style manual has supported that in a very long time so get with the program already, y'all.
...are we, like, related or something? sounds a whole lot like my pet peeves. Cherries are one of mine too, I pick them out of desserts and eat what's left, cracks my mom up.

When people stress the multi-syllabic words in their sentences to demonstrate their eruditeness.

raisins.
I used to work with a fellow who would accent that type of speaking so forcefully, that I could feel spit sprinkling me! yuck...

Pssssh, I got worse than stepping in water. One time I was late for work, I had grabbed my clothes out of the dryer and sat them on the bed. I took a shower, dried off, and came back and got dressed. One of my socks were wet so I thought "welp, I stuffed to many clothes in the drier again". I just put it on anyway thinking it's just a little damp so it will dry.

Fast forward to a few hours at work, I'm crouched in the floor stocking something and all of a sudden I smell pee. I'm thinking, phew....where is that coming from? Got a faint whiff of it once or twice throughout the night but I didn't think much of it. Then I take my socks off and I'm thinking, well darn...it never dried. I got the wrinkly toe syndrome going on. Then it hit me....I smelled my sock just to confirm. One of the little kitties my roomie had just brought home decided to whizz upon my sock while I was in the shower....so I was wading in cat piss all night without even realizing it :p.

I find it's pretty over rated after I gave it up several years ago. Now it's kind of meh.

I actually prefer water unless it's a quality ginger ale or root beer, in which case I might be persuaded on occasion.
do you have a gingerale to recommend? there's an extra - strong one i buy from time to time at my health food store. i can't think of it at the moment.

most of the time these days i just make my own:

2 1/2" of ginger - run through the juicer
12 oz of club soda
squeeze of lemon (or lime)
stevia (or honey/agave) to taste

on rare occasion i'll even throw some berries into the juicer with the ginger. but i'm sure you could use almost any fruit... : )

+extremely slow talking, especially when accompanied with long gaps of space (i.e. searching for words). that makes me mildly crazy.

+guys wearing a cap so low that they have to tilt their head up to look at you

+platitudes

+when people ask what comes with food, when the full description is listed (or supremely obvious, i.e. "what's on your grilled cheese sandwich?". and then they order something they didn't even inquire about.

OR they order some elaborate alteration that's way too complicated for the restaurant they've chosen to eat in.

+tea, coffee or any beverage that isn't extra hot.

I don't like syrup on my pancakes. I either want just butter OR some sort of fruit topping.
