Inspired this thread. Maybe we'll find that some of our odd dislikes aren't so odd after all.
What are some things that you don't like/creep you out that are "different"? Not the universal "spiders", "snakes", or "creepy people", but...
For example, here are some of mine:
- Tree roots underwater, especially when I'm swimming. They just look so dark and creepy, and if you touch them they're all slimy and cold and make me flail if I get anywhere close to them. I was trying to find a picture to put here but just looking at them all on Google made me shiver a bit.
- I hate the sound of a metal spoon scraping against a metal mixing bowl. If I'm stirring something in the mixer, I'll get the batter out with a rubber spatula, never a spoon.
- Animal face pictures that have been photoshopped to have human smiles and eyes. Something about it just...unsettles me.
*Rule* You can't post pictures of someone else's nerve-wracker. If that person wants to post their own example, fine, but I don't want anybody bombarding this thread with pictures of humanized animals.
I'll never be too old to enjoy
that quick-sand sinking feeling that is found at the beach,
when the water rolls in and takes the sand from underneath the feet.

That feeling totally creeps me out.
getting heebie jeebies just thinking about it.
