Psalm 121
1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
[SUP]2 [/SUP]My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Any time we feel we are fighting battles alone, God comes
along and taps us on the shoulder. We turn around to see

who touched us. No one is there.

We begin fretting over issues that seem to big to handle,
once again we feel a tap on the shoulder, turn to see who,
no one is there.

So many times we think we are fighting our battles all alone,
but our Lord God, Creator of all mankind, is faithful to His Word.
He never lied when He said, " I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

Next time you feel that tap, just lift your hands in praise and
say thank YOU LORD. He will never leave you when you have needs.

J~K~2, amen sister! :) It is when we are at our lowest that we need God the most. He is with us in good times also, but he always is near when we are in the pits of despair and have nowhere to go except UP. I have been in that pit many times during my 43 years of life on this earth. Each time, God pulled me up and out and dusted me off and set me back on the pathway. I am finally learning to pick up my feet and not keep tripping on the rocks of the path!! :p :)

I have been like you...the difference is ....I have few more years of it. LOL
I did a writing once about walking on a path with flowers on each side. We
are walking along enjoying the quiet and warmth of the day. Then we spot
a really pretty flower, and we stop to look at it. Before we know it we have
taken our eyes off the Lord and allowed ourselves to stray away from where
we first stopped. I have done that my friend. I have stubbed my toe, tripped
and fallen. Isn't He wonderful ? He loves us so much to be patient with us
and let us go our own way because He knows we will learn from the pain of
stubbing our toe, or tripping and falling. He doesn't get pleasure from seeing
us get hurt, you know that, but I certainly can relate to how He will let us do
what we want, knowing we will get burned, or whatever. His love being
everlasting and His mercy and Grace welcomes us back as we look up and cry
ABBA FATHER ... Like a child who has fallen and skinned her knees, and we
cry to our earthly daddy, knowing he will pick us up and fix our wounds and
we begin walking again. This time just more carefully.

Bless you ~ J~ K~2

JK2, yes it is great knowing that he will pick us up each time we stumble and fall. That he can banish evil negative thoughts with just one prayer from us. I often wonder why he never gives up on us--he certainly has reason to!! He must pull his hair out by the roots watching some of us. Wait, does God have hair? Lol. :p By the way I tried getting into the blogs. I was able to post on one by Mystdancer, but I cant get into the main blog itself. :(

Are you trying to get a blog started ? At the top of the page somewhere you
will see my blogs, blogs, etc.... and when you do click on and see what you
get. I still wonder if it is the blogger has their setting so no one can comment.
I know there is that option. I went in and checked on mine and I think it is
set to received comments. I went to another person I had never met and
commented on her writing. If you really are not getting anywhere, go to beginning
where you sign in and go down to bottom of page and there is a place for a
tech to help you.
Good night ~

Thank you so much for posting this - I just came from a thread that made me want to cry, being so hurtful. But you are oh so right that God is our helper and our strength. Blessings to you and your family.
