We have sturgeon in Missouri, but typically they are much smaller.

Wow you've eaten a raccoon.. is that allowed?

I've eaten various seafood - squid, crabs, shellfish ( i think that's mussels...)

LOL, yes it's allowed. They are quite common in our area, not protected animals by any means. Mainly our restrictions seem to be on birds, there are many birds you are not allowed to kill.
