The only real proof you will ever receive is that moment when you by faith receive Christ as your Savior. Then you will know just as you are known.
After that you can start to explain to others just like yourself how to believe in Christ.
Amen! This is what I've been thinking throughout these posts. While we can state proofs as in Christ's resurrection, the people who witnessed His miracles, the changes in Peter, Paul, etc., these are proofs to US.

Those who don't yet believe don't believe these are proof because they don't know that what is written is true. They don't believe the Bible and what they want (my former husband is my biggest example) is proof TODAY that what was written is true. They want substantial, physical, hands on proof and I don't know what that could even be. Scholars debate for years when artifacts, bones, fossils, are found as to their validity.

When you open your heart and mind to the promise of Jesus Christ and the love of God then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

You must kill those who worship another god. Exodus 22:20
Kill any friends or family that worship a god that is different than your own. Deuteronomy 13:6-10
Kill all the inhabitants of any city where you find people that worship differently than you. Deuteronomy 13:12-16
Kill everyone who has religious views that are different than your own. Deuteronomy 17:2-7
Kill anyone who refuses to listen to a priest. Deuteronomy 17:12-13

Is the same thing the Muslim do, the bible teach it so why cant they do it too.

The bible is not just the new testament, is the old and new.

Plus God did kill people for that person that say that God didnt kill
you are quite correct in that God did order the Israelites to kill the Canaanites. However I would point out that Christ changed everything. Where once it was an eye for an eye, Jesus said to turn the other cheek. Where once enemies were to be hated Jesus commanded them to be loved.

This is the higher calling of Christianity and it is the new covenant which is far greater than the old. Before Christ came there was no blood to cover over sins, so therefore the only recourse of sin was death, which the Jews carried out. But since Jesus died, everything has changed.

I would also like to point out that God says something very interesting to Abraham, I believe. God told him that his descendants would NOT inherit the area of Israel until the "iniquity of the Canaanites was complete." In other words God didn't flippantly tell the Jews to just kill people, he used the Jews as judgement against the Canaanites for their evil ways. Remember these people worshiped gods like Moloch who commanded child sacrifice. The Canaanites would literally throw babies into fiery pits. Even in the most liberal states today, if someone did that people would be crying for justice and for the man's blood.

Well, there were thousands of people who saw it and many accounts of the Church Fathers also believed because of the eyewitness accounts.

if Jesus simply died and never rose again and the disciples had no power to heal the sick, cast out demons, etc, then can anyone honestly tell me how Christianity got started?

Remember, it was the Jewish nation that forsook Jesus. Even his own disciples ran away in fear, after all, their leader was just murdered. If Jesus did not rise from the dead, why would ANYONE believe? How could Christianity even have started?

Jesus died because the very people who hailed him as king, then shouted for him to be crucified for the highest sin the Jews knew of, which was blasphemy. After Jesus was dead, no one was out spreading his word. Only AFTER he had risen did Pentecost happen.

I can't find any reason for how Christianity could have started EXCEPT that Jesus rose from the dead. No one had ANYTHING to gain by preaching about a dead man. Only if he had risen and people knew he was the Savior would they then be willing to die and by martyred by the droves.

Even the miracles today attest to the authenticity of the Book of John.

I would challenge any Athiest to find true Bible believing Christians, who operate in miracles, and go on a mission trip to a third world country and see the miracles that happen regularly.

Jesus told Thomas it is better to believe and not to have seen than to believe after seeing. However some may only be converted after seeing the power of Christ, just like Thomas.

There are LOTS of proves to Scriptures actually. Ahh, I don't know where to begin. OK, for example, if you start by reading this book The Case for Resurrection by Lee Strobel, it proves the event scientifically. Another book for the same author called The Case for Christ, it proves God's existence. The Apostles proved each other. Paul lived with Jesus after He was resurrected. And a lot more other proves. Google is your friend for the rest of the proves then. :)

All im saying is, that muslim follow the same god as the Christian. Is just that christians dont follow some old testament commandments but some Muslims do.
And im not sure God only said to kill the canaanites. It looks to me like he is speaking in general.

I don't have any scripture to support this, but I know the daily miracles of Christ.

I was on a trip with my nephew across country in a camper. It was a sabbatical of sorts. I had a steady income but not a substantial amount and often we found ourselves stuck until I had another payment. One week I made an error in my checking which meant that I had nothing on the day I was payed. We were stuck on the CA coast in an area where there was only a boardwalk, miles from another town. We had no gas and no food. When I told my nephew of my error, he started to become worried, as how were we to even get to another town to get help? I told him, "Do not worry, have faith, God will provide for us..." He looked at me and had this resolution that I was correct, so he went to the boardwalk and played his mandolin. I began praying to Lord Jesus for help in the situation, and did so on my knees. What happened? And this is a TRUE story....my nephew came back not forty minutes later with a basket of fruit and twenty dollars. I asked him what happened and he was almost in a state of shock. He said, "a girl came up to me and said I was playing beautiful music, so she gave me some money. I didn't know how to respond but said thank you and she walked away. When I realized what happened I approached her and told her our situation, and she responded, 'I am a Christian, a voice in my head told me I should give you the money I had...'" True story :)
