More Scripture!

2 Chronicles 18:28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.
29 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "I will enter the battle in disguise, but you wear your royal robes." So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.
30 Now the king of Aram had ordered his chariot commanders, "Do not fight with anyone, small or great, except the king of Israel."
31 When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought, "This is the king of Israel." So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him. God drew them away from him,
32 for when the chariot commanders saw that he was not the king of Israel, they stopped pursuing him.
33 But someone drew his bow at random and hit the king of Israel between the breastplate and the scale armor. The king told the chariot driver, "Wheel around and get me out of the fighting. I've been wounded."
34 All day long the battle raged, and the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot facing the Arameans until evening. Then at sunset he died.

More Scripture!

2 Chronicles 20:13 As all the men of Judah stood before the LORD with their little ones, wives, and children,14 the Spirit of the LORD came upon one of the men standing there. His name was Jahaziel son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite who was a descendant of Asaph.

The video dismisses the danger of the internet without any rhyme, reason or Scripture. The internet is dangerous and this thread is dangerous suggesting the people should use their real names and the only consequence will be "persecution." I am sure most of the pervs on the internet could care less which God you worship. Their motives are much more evil and I can only pray no one will be hurt as a result of this video.
Very, very, very true!

Thank you.

Forget the distance of the internet, Jehoshaphat went out in full identity into a raging battle, and God saved him. Ahab hid, yet he died.

We are to be bold with our profession of Christ, but at the same time they are not going to let you into China to secretly give Bibles to the underground church if you walk in with a "Jesus is Lord" T-shirt.

i forget where it is, maybe it was mentioned already. But one of the prophets asked a man to strike him across the face so he could wear a bandage around his head in order to speak to King Ahab. I think it was Chronicles or Kings.

The only thing we should be anonymous about concerning our Christianity are....

1. The good deeds that we do for people
2. The help that we give people when they need it
3. ETC. of such caliber as found in 1 and 2

As we are not to brag about what we do so as to receive our eternal reward from God, as opposed to a temporal reward from man!

Amen.

Matthew 6:1 "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Totally different than remaining an anonymous person on the internet for fear that a person near or far MIGHT come after you. Even the "Secret" or "Underground" Believers are not anonymous among each other. They know who they are. They're not fellowshipping with a bunch of anonymous people or listening to anonymous leaders.

i forget where it is, maybe it was mentioned already. But one of the prophets asked a man to strike him across the face so he could wear a bandage around his head in order to speak to King Ahab. I think it was Chronicles or Kings.

1 Kings 20:35
Meanwhile, the LORD instructed one of the group of prophets to say to another man, "Hit me!" But the man refused to hit the prophet.
36
Then the prophet told him, "Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, a lion will kill you as soon as you leave me." And when he had gone, a lion did attack and kill him.
37
Then the prophet turned to another man and said, "Hit me!" So he struck the prophet and wounded him.
38
The prophet placed a bandage over his eyes to disguise himself and then waited beside the road for the king.
39
As the king passed by, the prophet called out to him, "Sir, I was in the thick of battle, and suddenly a man brought me a prisoner. He said, 'Guard this man; if for any reason he gets away, you will either die or pay a fine of seventy-five pounds of silver!'
40
But while I was busy doing something else, the prisoner disappeared!" "Well, it's your own fault," the king replied. "You have brought the judgment on yourself."
41
Then the prophet quickly pulled the bandage from his eyes, and the king of Israel recognized him as one of the prophets.
42
The prophet said to him, "This is what the LORD says: Because you have spared the man I said must be destroyed, now you must die in his place, and your people will die instead of his people."
43 So the king of Israel went home to Samaria angry and sullen.

hey, i even have my resume and phone number on my website, Ron's Notes From China - Welcome if you happen to be in the south of china give me a call.

It wouldn't be wise to share your address online, and for many people their phone numbers. Their name and location is fine.
If I put my phone number out there that way, it would be abused.

Hi; some people are quite open about their identity. Sometimes it can be wise to avoid giving identifiable contact details over the internet.

Blessings.

You're still anonymous. Your identity is still hidden. Legion was a group of demons that did not give their names to Jesus (hence, we are legion), and Jesus was standing right there.

Mark 5:9 Then Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" "My name is Legion," he replied, "for we are many."
Yes, my picture and name are real :)

Ms. Amber: Do you see scenarios when at times some people might prefer to be anonymous for good reasons?

Blessings, farouk

Look. I can publicate easily my name and surename. But, the given name of me (written in papers) is muslim one. And both (surname and name) are very hard for english prononciation. That is wrong for you to call me by englizaed nick Al, (if you like) and see my real photo??
What is the point of your interest in knowing real names??? It is not a forum of legal taxpayers, it is community of christians. Whoever desire to not unfold his name, let be in shaddow. It does not affect our faith and ways of salvation.

Its not just about the internet, its recording your details anywhere like on raffle tickets to win prizes for eg. Names and details will be put into a database and that database will be sold off to whoever wants to buy it. Some websites that you voluntarily sign up too also do this...how do you think you get spam?

It's your name whether people can say it right or not. My name is simply "Amber" and people have mispronounced it all my life. As far as "Muslim name" goes, it's just a name. There are people who aren't muslims with arab names.

What is the point of your interest in knowing real names???
.

Matthew 10:32 "Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
34 "Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
35 I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!'
37 "If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.
38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.
39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.
40 "Anyone who receives you receives me, and anyone who receives me receives the Father who sent me.
41 If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet. And if you receive righteous people because of their righteousness, you will be given a reward like theirs.
42 And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded."
If you won't associate your identity with Jesus Christ, neither will He associate His with yours. You have denied association with Him.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?'
23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Amber is a pretty and still single female. May be she likes to fish somebody. So she is little bit upset that most of us do not disclose our real names, our real adresses and our real annual incomes after taxes.

Sorry, Amber. I am kidding.
You are truly good looking girl. If I were been in USA I would tried to court after you.
