You can be against the Political Right Wing without being a 'lefty'

It's no secret I can't stand the corruption of the political right wing, whether it's in the US or in Australia.

I cannot think of another example of such concentrated evil than the political Right Wing, whether it's the Republican Party or Liberal Party in Australia.

But that doesn't mean you have to be a lettuce eating PETA GreenPeace supporter.

I miss the days when it was considered Christian to stay out of politics, instead of having some foaming at the mouth Republican politician ramming their agenda down your throat and saying you are not a real Christian unless you 100% agree.

We should never put worldly politics before the Lord, and we should never allow politicians to be 'Faith' leaders.

Obama is pretty much a Republican these days. Looks like they are doing a George Bush and revving up for war. So there seems to be no political alternative to the evil of the Right Wing.

All I can do is pray. Let God do his thing.

Obama is a Republican?

well, the whole Affordable Health Care Act is an idea that came out of Republican think-tanks and was first floated by the GOP as an alternative to the Clinton's stab at reforming the health care system.
the idea of an insurance mandate is a purely Republican one - it wasn't until they were trying to keep Obama from being elected that the GOP ever opposed it. he expanded medicare with the ACA too -- just like Bush did before him.

for all the rhetoric, the only laws Obama has signed that have to do with gun control actually reduce regulation -- it's now legal for permit-wielding gun-owners to carry on amtrak trains and in national parks. relaxing gun restrictions is a pretty Republican thing to do. almost every executive order he's signed concerning guns has been to simply step up enforcement of regulations already on the books.

the bailouts? nevermind that congressional Republicans opposed him - they would oppose him if he outlawed abortion, just because Obama was the one to do it! protecting the interests of big business is kind of a Republican trademark.

shipping American military forces into mid-eastern countries against the wishes of their governments isn't a particularly DNC thing of him to do either.

Obama's always been a centrist. because he tends to favor middle-of-the-road policies, i think someone that did his research could actually put together a pretty good (selective) argument to cast him as a moderate-to-left leaning Republican.

Many, many, many differences betwixt what the Republicans suggested and what Hillary Clinton first offered during Bill's 1st term as President.............SOME Republicans have always been in favor of reforming the Health Care System, but NOT GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE.............their proposals have maintained the idea of Free Market Control.

Health Care ORDERED at the point of a gun isn't exactly "free market" is it?

And, I certainly hope folks don't believe that Health Care is the determining factor as to one being Republican or Democrat............because what then becomes of us Independents?

i don't understand why most of America thinks the ACA is "government health care." we're being coerced to buy into the public insurance market. while the insurance market has to offer policies that meet minimum standards, so do food, drugs, automobiles, electronics, appliances, universities, utilities, banks and a whole lot of other things. we don't call any of that "government food" or "government pills" do we? the difference is the mandate, which is a concept that came out of purely Republican think tanks and was championed by the GOP.

... nevermind. i know why people think that. it's the last 8 years of relentless propaganda. same reason that folks actually do think that Health Care is the determining factor in Rep/Dem. that's why they call the people in the House that haven't wasted the last 6 years trying to overturn it "Republicans In Name Only"

No, well not in complete honesty and truth. Insurance Companies have, for many years, had minimum standards to abide by. HOWEVER, those standards were determined by the individual States and not the Federal Government. As well, individual States DID NOT force people to purchase Health Care Policies.

You mention other industries which have minimum standards................so, please tell me which of them are forbidden to market/sell their product across State lines? How many of them are restricted from offering their product Nationally?

No, even those who want to repeal Obama care do not believe it to be the determining factor, they simply see it as the current battlefield of ideologies upon which to fight. If you honestly believe that Obama care is a Republican creation, then please post what the Republicans offered as "reform" and what Obama care and/or Hillary Care offered..........so we can all see the vast differences............then determine if Obama care is a Republican ideology.

Now, the Republicans are no more perfect than the Democrats, but they surely differ...........and they surely are no more evil.
