I don't see the word drunk anywhere in the context concerning THE SPIRIT!.....the word FILLED, but not drunk and this still rejects the INSPIRED ACCECTPABLE BOUNDRIES GIVEN BY GOD!
Well not to be critical. But to be filled with is equivalent to being drunk. On another not isn't alcohol called a spirit and does it change your demeanor?

From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.......not the words of the heart, but the heart of the words.

The abundance of my heart say's don't drink. Even Solomon the wisest man in the bible, other than Christ, agrees. He say's don't even look at it.

Proverbs 20:1
Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Go read the OP and slow down as this verse does not change what was written and IS ACCEPTABLE TO GOD as found in the OP as I cover NOT BEING DRUNK and what is and is NOT ACCEPTABLE unto GOD AS THE INSPIRED SCRIPTURES STATE!

Do you read or do you just accuse as Satan does?

I agree 100% as I don't drink myself bro :) <------MY POST DCON

Do you disagree that God inspired the scriptures found in the OP...if you do maybe rip the pages out of your already perforated bible!

The three underlined are taken out of context and do not apply to the OP...

The first two I covered under the OP...

It comes down to the following..

1. Does it cause a weaker brother/sister to stumble or be offended Corinthians
2. Not to be drunk in excess Ephesians
3. Not to be (given) to it as in addicted or have to have it 1st Timothy
4. Being mature about it

Sober=Right Minded as applied to the CONTEXT that you ripped ONE VERSE out of to PROVE something that has not been proven!
Drinking wine causes a person mind to be at idle, and that is when the devil comes in and get busy like when he gotten into David and Solomon minds when they were relaxed; he like to catch us off guard. It tell us in the scriptures, to away have God in our thoughts, like how the ancient Jews had tied a small box of tiny scrolls in them to their foreheads; it was to symbolize to keep God's words with them in our thoughts and heart at all times and which they were immature at the time, because they were to busy drinking and not letting their minds grow. When we are filled with wine, our minds isn't growing, it is just at a stand-still.

Dude I will not argue opinion, conjecture or supposition with you as you are not the final rule of authority...The scripture used in the OP are in context, given by Inspiration, acceptable unto God and if you don't like it or disagree then go argue with God...your opinions mean absolutely less than the scrapings on the bottom of my boots in light of the word of God....Christians believe the word, accept the word and are willing to be found within the boundaries that God's word lays out instead of arguing biblical truth in context....I suggest you check your salvation!

No need to project on me...... looks like the truth finally came out. This serves to remind us all that everything isn't as it seems.

You know what I do. I met an 80 year old man in our prison ministry. He told me that he would take bible tracts and go into stores and stick them down trough the finger holes in 12 packs of beer. He said that he was escorted out of many stores for doing so. He said that he had been doing this for forty years. Then one day, he was passing out tracts on the street and a man came by and he handed him the track. The man looked at the tract and asked where did you get this and Max said I've been handing these out for forty years. The man said, I went to the store one day and bought a twelve pack of beer and a tract just like this was in it. He got mad and threw it in the floor. A few days later He picked it up, read it and went to church and got saved. He said mister, I've been serving the Lord for twenty years now and that tract you put in that 12 pack saved me.

To this day, Max at 90 years old is still stuffing 12 packs with bible tracts.

Now that is awesome and God can work wonders when we allow him....Jesus was called a (winebibber) because he went to the people that needed it as opposed to hypocritical self righteous men (in their own eyes that is)

With the verses that seem to imply that there are instances that it is okay to drink (medicinal purposes, special occasions, impending death), there are many more verses with warnings about drinking, I would believe because it is so easy to fall into deception from it.

Proverbs 23:20 Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat,

Ephesians 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
Galatians 5:21 Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 23:29-35 Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who tarry long over wine; those who go to try mixed wine. Do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup and goes down smoothly. In the end it bites like a serpent and stings like an adder. Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart utter perverse things.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Isaiah 5:11 Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may run after strong drink, who tarry late into the evening as wine inflames them!

Habakkuk 2:15 “Woe to him who makes his neighbors drink— you pour out your wrath and make them drunk, in order to gaze at their nakedness!

Hosea 4:11Whoredom, wine, and new wine, which take away the understanding.

Isaiah 5:22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, and valiant men in mixing strong drink,

Romans 13:13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.

Ecclesiastes 10:17 Blessed is the land whose king is of noble birth and whose princes eat at a proper time-- for strength and not for drunkenness.

There is more.

Certainly there are lots of warnings, aren't there?

Anyway, my wife and I simply choose not to have any alcohol in the house.

They are fine; they are general principles, really.

Blessings.

Isaiah 65:8 KJV
Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

According to this verse there is a blessing in new wine which is grape juice. The Bible says in proverbs not to touch wine when it ferments.

Of course, something that might not be inherently wrong can be wrong to excess.
