My stepmom... I'm normally so upbeat and positive but tonight just struggling
I love her but tonight at dinner she yelled at me because I was silently praying before eating and she doesn't want me to pray infront of my little brothers. If my dad was home she wouldn't have done it. But he is working..
It makes me sad and I don't know what to do.
She is not actually the problem it's me... I need to obey her and just pray in my room before I go to eat dinner.
Christ will guide me and comfort me... I wish I could be smarter and learn to obey my mom and at the same time honor and obey God. I am kinda confused right now
going to pray
How do you get over it. this is my problem at the moment. Certain people really tick me off and loving them anyways is very hard.
The world seems to subconsciously grow in my head... E.g, when I was a hermit I could easily keep out vulgar speech from my noggen... Now that I work at a fast food restaurant I find it beyond difficult to keep my speech pleasing to the Lord when around me there are more vulgar conversations then anything else...
It's not like I am having trouble not cursing... It is that my thoughts are starting to become more wordly...
E.g. I had a girl that was attractive come through the drive through and my thought was
WARNING PROFANITY! in white text
"Damn that ***** is hot"
It just made me really think about how much my mind is changing when I have to live in the world and strive to not be of it...
*shrugs*
But, I'll be praying for you, TaylorTG.
Uh..... you will? Thank you.
Well, that's great! I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread now,Of course! You're a brother in Christ.![]()
amen Danielafor me personally, nothing is a challenge right now ..Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4
After losing my wonderful husband in a car accident 10 months ago and my mother dying from cancer 7 months before that, there are some days that doing everyday things like cooking are a challenge for me. The major one though is to keep my 6 year old son happy and answer his endless but very reasonable questions.

My greatest challenge right now is my own attitude. I struggle daily with frustration and anger. I'm disappointed with my life and with myself.
I will pray that you find fulfillment in your life. I suggest writing achievable goals for yourself and long term goals. The achievable goals will give you momentum for your long term goals. I have done this. It helps. My greatest challenge right now is my own attitude. I struggle daily with frustration and anger. I'm disappointed with my life and with myself.
