Hydroplate Theory? - YouTube

Genesis 7:11-12 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened. The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

There is another Bible reference to back up the video of Hydroplate Theory. The following verse indicates that this beginning timeline if Genesis 10:25 is very close to the beginning of the Mayan calendar that ended in 2012. It also brings the creation of 6 days to an understandable reality, as we believe actually happened.

Genesis 10:25 (KJV)
[SUP]25 [/SUP]And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

Gen 10:25 is probably a reference to the division of languages. Prleg was the great-great-great grandson of Noah and was born 102 years after the flood. The tower of Babel had to have occurred close to the time of Peleg's birth because of the reason he was named Peleg which means "division."

I have always subscribed to this idea of the Hydroplate Theory because this is the way in which Genesis describes the event.

and it explains perfectly what alot of secular scientists trying to disprove God, which occurred in a years time period, and not over billions of years.

I think Andrew Snelling called it correctly, "Earths Catastrophic Past" Great book.

Flood dynamics, 11-24.

1. Eruption of ALL subterranean chambers, “The fountains of the deep burst open,” 11. This is total and prolonged geological upheaval and cannot simply be reconciled with any “local flood” theories confined to the Near East. Such catastrophic activity would result in:
a. Dramatically enlarged ocean basins.
b. Elevation of the continents, Psalms 104:4-5.
c. Massive global volcanic and seismic activity – earthquakes and tsunamis.
d. Oceans of rolling mud swallowing everything in its path.

C. Depth of the flood waters – 29,029' + 22' to allow for the draft of the ark. This is a water depth of 5.5 miles needed to cover the highest mountain peaks if Mt. Everest is used as the standard.

D. The 'prevailing” of the waters – The waters continued to rise for 150 days, 18-24.
1. The rain stopped after 40 days.
2. The fountains of the deep continued to rise for an additional 110 days or five months, 8:2.

even with the pre-deluvian ring of water around the earth as mentioned in Genesis:

[SUP]6 [/SUP]Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” [SUP]7 [/SUP]Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. [SUP]8 [/SUP]And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

which is not present today in much capacity I might add, and also explains why solar radiation is doing what it is doing today, the protection was not as protective post flood.

it could not rain for 40 days and nights and flood the whole earth. this is impossible.

Yes, and I believe too that this accounts for the weather patterns that exist today.

yes. which was not present before the flood, and why a few things are answered.

1. Why it did not rain before the flood, it did not need to
2. Why there were no deserts before the flood. There was no dry place on earth
3. Why everything (trees, plants and fruit) is so much smaller, and in less quanity, which explains why larger creatures such as dinosaurs died off, their food supply dwindled
4, Why there was snow in Jobs day in what is present day middle east (the so called nuclear affect of global cooling, caused by the flood)

and so many other things.

Yes, there are many of geological, herbological, meteorological, and oceanographic consequences of the flood that remain with us today. This also explains the massive fossil record.

I think Mount St Helen's Got alot of scientists thinking, Imagine a mini grand canyon being formed in a matter of a day or two, which was against all scientific thinking. And think of a major catastrophy like the flood forming the grand canyon in a matter of days, not millions of years, and scientifically it being not only possible, but probably it did happen that way!

I am reading it now. about 3/4 of the way through. (I got the 50th anniversary addition..lol)

the book I mentioned by Andrew Snelling is the follow up to the book. I read it first. so sort of backwards.

alot of great info in both.

What is the name of the book by Andrew Snelling? I would like to have a copy of that. It is a rare occasion that I read any extra biblical material but I really was impressed by the quality of research that went into "The Genesis Flood". I acquired that book about 30 years ago and I have referred to it many time over the years.

According to the science, there have been seven ice ages on this earth. I know scientist have withdrawn cores from the ice and can tell when there has been changes in temperature. It is the long period of time that erodes away boulders and makes them smooth. The only way of getting a time line is to look at the polar ice. What if Genesis begins with the thaw from the last ice age. Salt water freezes at a lower temperature than fresh water because of the dissolved minerals. The minerals in salt water come from the earth - extraction through heat around the core of the earth? So the earth must have been fractured by one or more events. The waters would be separated - the seas to their place and the fresh water to their place and the dry land appeared. Genesis is the renewal of the earth in prepartion for life - for man. The Sun must have already been present because it is the center and the earth is like an electron revolving around the nucleus of the sun.

it is called "Earths Catastrophic Past"

Here is a link. I got mine at the creation museum in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He mentions the genesis flood alot. Said he wrote it as a follow up because science had found so much more since then.

I will say, Up until I read the Snelling book, I was an avid fighter for the "gap theory" I could not longer hold to that after reading, because the evidence was to overwhelming to continue to hold that belief.

The first question I must ask is how do you regard the Bible?

You have to remember, Even today snow melts even when the temperature is not above freezing. The sun was out all day a few days ago hear. the temperature only made it up to like 22 degrees, yet the snow was melting, now imagine that in top of alot of snow. Then refreezing when the temperature drops and another huge snowstorm drops another 5 feet of snow on top of that. You have an ice ring.

so Ice rings are not very good at telling these things, You could get 20 or 30 rings, and snow storm after snowstorm all in one year.. which current scientists would claim happened over hundreds of years.

Ice rings are certainly not a reliable determinate for earth ages. There can often be a number of cooling and warming cycles within the period of a single year which renders the study of ice rings as a temporal measurement completely worthless. Yet, it is upon such theories that the scientific community rest their reputations and propagate some rather outlandish conclusions.
