Yes, and I trust the testimony of the scriptures because I have the Holy Spirit within to bear witness of what the scriptures testify as the truth. Think of the one person in your life that you know and trust the most. You trust them because they are true to their word so that makes them trustworthy. God has given us His objective written word, the Bible, so that we do not have to live in subjectivity concerning Him, not even in our faith. Our faith is based upon the objectivity of the scriptures that have either been spoken or revealed and then put in written form so that we might know who God is, what His name is, the work He had done and what He is going to do in the future generally and specifically with His people, the people of the world, with all His creation in heaven and in earth and with heaven and earth itself.
Those things that were written and have come to past have become the testimony of the trustworthiness of God so that we might believe upon Him through the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ. The things that have been spoken and written down that have not come to past, we accept by faith which gives us hope because we know that He can be trusted to bring those things to past as well. These are promises from God and we know that it is impossible for God to lie. We believe the record that has been given of His Son and we trust in the integrity of the living God who removed our sin through the sacrifice of the Lamb of God, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.
