There are a lot of testomony of people that been abducted by aliens, we can talk to them now and also they are writting in books. Now should I believe them. They are alive right now and we can confirm.
And about prophecy, im not gonna lie to you i promised you.
My girlfriend can see the future, she isnt christian and she dont believes in the devil either. All of the prediction she told me, they happened, so prophecy means nothing to me because the mayans also did the same thing.
We have a written document called the Constitution of the United States, written over 225 years ago that is in force as we speak. No one from that era is living today but we can confirm the authority of this document as we live in the principles and dictates of that document every day. It has a certain amount of authority over us as it also gives us liberty and assurance that we have a form of protection as individuals complimented by the Bill of Rights and a Declaration of Independence.
But we have a greater authority given to man through the inspiration of the written Scriptures that is backed by God through the power of His Holy Spirit. It was demonstrated when Moses was commissioned by God to lead the people of God out of the land of Egypt and bring them into a promised land over 4,000 years ago. God spoke to Moses and his brother Aaron to lead this multitude of people. These Israelites were represented by twelve tribes and adhered to the word that came to Moses that eventually became the law of the Torah, even as it is to this day. This authority and power was represented by a cloud by day and a fire by night that lead them in the wilderness.
The Jews have believed and practiced the Torah even being dispersed and without a temple. They have believed in an everlasting covenant that was made to them by God and have become a nation once again. They are in unbelief concerning Christ being the Messiah, but they have not forsaken the Torah that established them as a people under God's law. This was established and promised by God's trustworthy word with the power to make it happen. I don't think you mean that your girlfriend has the power to make a prophecy or predict the future and also has the power to make it happen. God would not make promises without the power to make them come to past. By what power does you girlfriend's predictions happen?
so you did not actually see proof. You just read something at took it as proof.

I dont see people walking on water, people talking from heaven, people getting heal instantly with a shadow. Thats the difference. So you need extraordinary evidence

No one would die for a lie; it profits no one. Early Christians who saw the things recorded in the NT died for what they believed because they saw it,
they didn't die for made-up stories (2Pe 1:16, 2:3) they knew were a lie.
That is most compelling evidence for the truth of what they report.
