You know what is the one thing that people say carelessly
Jesus is my everything
Really?
Jesus is your everything are you really sure about that statement?
Do you really know the depth of what you are saying?
The defination of "Everything" in Merriam-Webster's dictionary is all that exists;all that is related to that particular subject; all that is important.
Ok so Everything basically is everything ok.
So that means He is the first in everything that you do meaning without him there is nothing. Because he is all that you are if he is your everything.
That means everything that was of you no longer exist everything that made you everything doesn't matter anymore.
Because he is all that you have.
Now I may seem a little repetitive here but I just really want the word "everything" to really sink in our minds.
Because he is not really everything for some people
When I say some I really want to say all
Matter of fact for some of us he is the last thing on our list but we are so deceived we don't even realize it.
Some of us don't even know what it really means to make Jesus everything.
When you don't know what to do because your relationship(s) is having problems
Was he the first person that you went to for counsel or did you just go and gossip to your friends who didn't even help anything.
or
When you don't know what career or major to take up on did you ask Jesus what he should wish for you in your life (a life that is technically not even yours to begin with because God is life so God basically took some of his life and put it in us) or did you just decided you're going to do what you want to and you're going do your own desires.
When you think of love or if someone were to ask you who do you love the most right on the spot is Jesus the first person that comes up or do you start thinking of your husband/wife,children,parents,friends ect...................
These are just a few examples of things we don't even consider when we accept Jesus in our "lives" and hearts.
He literally has to be in EVERYTHING that you do.
In your relationships,your school,your work,your thoughts,your emotions
Jesus is what should be your daily determination and motive in everything that you do during the day.
Why because he is all that you have.
He is the first thing on your mind when you wake up and the last thing lingering before you go to sleep.
You totally surrender everything that is yours and give it to him
You are the living sacrifice to him
Nothing that you do is done without him guiding you.
Without him you don't function
You don't just accept Jesus and then keep continuing doing things that make you happy or what pleases you
No!
That is for him now because some of us have to realize it's not about you, it never was about you, and it never will be about you.
What you want is last
Man some of us are so selfish its always me,me,me,me,me,me,me,me
My feelings
My wants
My needs
My struggles
even in our prayers we are selfish always asking God for something always talking about how we feel
What about God did you ask him how's is he feeling, what he is going through, what is his wants.
Because he is a person too he is not just someone sitting on His throne with a stony determined important look on his face.
He has emotions we are made in his image something that people have really yet to truly understand but I won't even get in to all that right now.
And you know what's sad people make excuses as to why they can't do this or why they don't see it that way, or even worse they deceive themselves in to thinking that they do.
When clearly we don't
if we were to sit down and make a list of what is is dear to us Jesus is not number one on that list and it doesn't matter if it's visible in writing or not because that list is in our hearts.
So God Knows the truth whether you realize it or not.
Abraham is a great example of showing what it really means to have God be your everything.
God told him to leave his family and his country into another place that he did not know of
Could we do the same?
If God were to ask you right now Leave your family(wife,hisband,kids,mom,dad,) and your country (where you grew up,your job,career,school,what you know) and go to a place that you know nothing about and don't know what to expect when you get there.
Would you do it?
I mean would you really sincerly do it 100% with no questions asked no if ands or buts
or would you hesitate.
if you do he is not your everything
If God were to ask you right now to to take the life of the one person that you love the most or to Give up what is so important you,that you could never see yourself without it
Would you do it?
You see many of us don't really know what it means and what it takes to make Jesus your everything most of us would have failed in all these things.
I am slowly but surely learning this lesson and I realized that wow Jesus is my only hope to do anything to achieve anything, to provide everything for me.
If I love him that much like I say I do none of that should be a problem
Because he suppose to be our first love right?
Without him what do you really have, what's anything if Jesus is not your center.
My Fellow brothers and sisters I love you all and I don't want you to miss what's happening but really sit down and think is Jesus really your everything.

and most will disagree with me too but I will still state it depending on your relationship with the Lord(there is 9 levels) yes you will be given that test why because Father-God loves to give tests its right there in his word now he may or may not tell you to take someone's life but he is going to give you a test that is equal to that why because God is a person therefore he has feelings too why would he not want to see if we mean true to what we tell him.Actions speak louder then words.So if someone is constantly saying along these lines over and over again "Lord you are my everything" or "God I give myself away to you" "or Father I love you more than anything have your way" you really don't think Father-God will test you to see if you mean it or are you just throwing sweet empty filled words at him?
