Why degrade and demoralize women who were also created in the image of God. Do you really think this makes the Lord happy?

I don't think that was the purpose. I'm not sure that anyone many a comment in that vain either . It was to go over whats written there. God has used women in the past, as well as today. God is no respecter of persons it says on another place. Even in the last days God will uses women, that's written in Joel the prophet . Man is the only one degrading women. But men, and women,; the hang ups they have and issues with one another, should be kept away from the Bible and what it teaches as its written.

Adam and Eve were given the opportunity to eat of the Tree of Life. It was not forbidden until they ate of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

There is some very important information there about man not having an immortal soul. We do not have life inherently in us, we must take of the Tree of Life.

Unfortuately many men miss this whole concept. Adam and Eve were going to bear children. What one thing do parents know when they have children is that they are going to disobey. What experience do all parents have - they did it themselves. The Lord already knew there would be disobedience because he gave man free will - the right to choose. Adam and Eve had no experience - teens without a fully developed sense of right and wrong. They were given one commandment and could not keep it. We have ten commandments and no man could keep those either. Adam and Eve have been made into an issue of sexual immorality when that is not the subject. Disobedience was the sin - breaking the only commandment they were given.

I agree and then add to this the blame game. It was the womans fault - it was the serpents fault. The serpent was like the talking donkey. It was all about temptation - being tempted to have more than God had given them -- to realize guilt when they have been caught in disobedience -- try to cover the lie up hiding under a fig leaf. While the glory of God shone on them like it did on Moses, the glory faded and were naked - the light was missing. They were driven from the presence of God and brought back in through Christ. Where the first Adam failed, the second Adam saved them and all mankind - everyone born of woman. The second Eve is the Bride of Christ. What happened - Eve was born of Adam (the womb of man) First Adam--Eve---Second Adam. The chain was followed down through the ages and the Lord made sure there would be a written record to follow the heritage and the promise that was made in the Old Testament was fulfilled in the New Testament. Like the New Testament says - you cannot put new wine into old wine skins --- take the New Testament and go back into the Old because the promise was fulfilled.

We see the blame game so intensely today, don't we? Every time someone does something evil, we look for who to blame, rather than looking at the person who made the choice. "It was their mother, their father, their friends, their enemies, their sisters, their brothers, society." Anyone and everyone but themselves.

We see this, too, in modern psychology, psychiatry and counseling. "It is your mom's fault that you're like this. It is your father's fault that you're like this. It is because others hurt you." Nothing about how we make our own choices and that forgiveness is a choice, as well as bitterness is a choice.

I would not agree on this. They NEVER ate of the tree before Satan came in the picture and we have LORTS to learn why thi happened. Satan DECIVED Eve and she ate first, why then did God put the sin against Adam? 1 Timothy 2:13 says Eve was decieved. and in 2 Cor 11:3 it says the serpent BEGUILED (seduced wholly) so she ws completely fooled by the devil. That is why she ate, but Adam? He just ate and he ws never seduced or decieved, is that why God put the sin to his name, or is it that he should have NOT EATEN and fall for the same lie as his woman.

We have to remember they did not eat from the tree for quite a time. But when Eve had a coversation with Satan, that is when the problems started. I wonder if Adam would have eaten if he did not SEE his wife eat? But I suppose it was still all in God's plan.

Here is the thing... if there were no instructions, then their would be no transgression. Although 1 Tim 2:14 says Eve came into transgression the sin is still acredited to Adam. But just for simplicity look what teh verse says WE SHOULD DO....

2 Cor 11:3.... But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

They may not have touched the fruit of the tree until satan gave them the means/words/excuse to do so, yet, Eve was near the tree. Why was she lingering near the tree, do you think? Why was she near a place where she could be deceived and tempted? I daresay because she desired the tree, but only gained the 'courage' to touch it when she was spoken to by satan.

One of the basic lessons that can be derived from Adam and Eve is that it is human nature to want what you can't have. Many sins are based on this principle.

Sin takes occasion by the commandment, curiosity killed the cat. Doubt is what so easily besets mankind. The serpent created doubt in Eve and she did not believe and took of, and Adam as well. Each are accountable. yet man has been and still does pass the buck, does he not? It was that one's Fault, the devil made me do it and on and on it goes

Time to be accountable for me, and stop the stupidity of this is how it happened and this is what she did.
It does not change what came onto mankind through the eating of that tree. And God through Son brought and bought redemption, for us all, if only we will put our allegiance over to God alone
