(I'm talking about the kind of dream that happens while you're asleep, not dreams as in aspirations.)

Do you remember your dreams? Are they in color? Happy? Scary? Are they about the past, and things that you've already experienced in real life, or things that haven't actually happened?

Very rarely do I remember my dreams. There are many that I remember over the years that have stayed with me though.

I know two or three times now, I've dreamed about different people and once was to warn me and the other times were for me to pray for them. So if I ever say to you, "Hey, I dreamed about you last night." don't worry, it's all good. I'm not creepin' or obsessed. :) Chances are God wants me to pray for you and I wanna know if you're doing okay and if you want me to pray for anything specific.

I frequently dream about flying but the weird thing is that all the controls are the same as in a car. (steering wheel, foot accelerator pedal, and foot brake) It should be stick, rudder pedals, and hand throttles. :) Oh well, I seem to have no difficulty in getting the plane to do what I want it to do.

I almost always dream in color, but occasionally I dream in black and white... yep, I'm strange like that. :)

I must have an active imagination cause my dreams are like watching an acid trip... and I've never done drugs... O.o

I usually remember my dreams. Most of the time I feel like I'm in the middle of an action movie. I always have action types of dreams for some reason. Just last night I was running through one of those old fashion trains and next thing I know I was trying to avoid a big bomb dropping on me. What's werid is I'll hardly dream about my family during these things. Most of time I'm stuck with people I've never meet, whether they are friends or enemys. Least the action dreams are entertaining though. :D

For some apparent reason, my dog likes to make recurring appearances in my dreams. He's either not listening to me or being mischievous. So most my time spent in dreams is me disciplining my dog or wondering where he ran off too.

If I watch a black and white film before bed, it's guaranteed I'll be dreaming in black and white. But for the most part, I dream in color and can remember them.

I have a recurring dream where I can breathe underwater. It has happened so many times that now, even while in the dream, I start to realize that it IS a dream, so I relax and just enjoy myself. Haha.

For a long time after my husband left, I would have dreams of family life where he was still there and things were "happy and normal". Then I'd wake up and realize it was just a dream. Those sucked.

My Bible study group finally gathered around one night to pray for me not to have them anymore, and I never had another one since then. God is amazing. :)

earlier in my life i used to have a lot of nightmares. in fact, i usually go to sleep listening to scripture, which is a habit that i developed then.

nowadays, my dreams aren't as vivid, but more like several snapshots of moments. my favorite dreams are when i dream about my grandmother. i had one not long ago, and it was lovely.

usually there is a component of urgency, like i'm running out of time. there's no fear or anxiety, but like "hurry, hurry, hurry". often i'm running.

a couple weeks ago, i was dreaming that i was competing again on one of my old horses, but instead of jumps that were normal height, we were jumping over obstacles that were 25 feet tall or so. that was wild.

I really wish I had the time to properly answer this thread. Dreams is one of my favorite subjects. Like Just_Monicat I also had lots of nightmares growing up. All through my childhood I had bad dreams, some of them horrific. I also used to have these night terrors (i think that's what they're called) when I would wake up paralyzed with fear trying deperately to cry out for my parents but I couldn't do it. It also felt like something or some evil presence was there (but it was probably just my imagination). But the dreams I wanted to mention are not all horrific. Some of them might even be prophetic. Maybe tomorrow..

When I was eight years old, I had a dream I put lemons under my arm pits, I started flapping my arms and I began to fly. For over a decade afterwards, I would constantly have dreams I would fly away from people who were trying to harm me by flapping my arms or doing the butterfly stroke.

Over the years, I've had a regular sprinkle of zombie apocalypse dreams, all were really fun and adventurous. Probably from all the zombie games I played when I was young... and in my teens... and in my early adult life.

A year ago, I kept having dreams I was at this same bus stop. It was so detailed like it was a place I have been many times before, yet I have never actually seen such a place in real life. Each time I was at that bus stop, I would get on the wrong bus.

Lately I've been having dreams of the same shopping mall and in the dream I am hurriedly trying to find something I really want to buy but not finding it.

Well, Yours Truly seldomly dreams, but when dreams happen, everybody in my dreams speaks English (including the Lord Jesus and relatives who never learnt English), and all my dreams are in color.

Most of my dreams involve a Gospel theme (ie. evangelism planning, open-air preaching, the Return of the Lord Jesus, etc.), or the dream involves some cherub, or a faceless Angel standing in my bedroom telling me something about dinner, or the solution to a math problem, or how to fix roller-skates... ...and, yes, all the cherubim in my dreams speak English as well. :D

Now, about my nightmares...

I dream VERY rarely, I usually just fall into a deep dreamless sleep, the very odd time that I do dream, when I awaken I never remember them!

I have vivid dreams that play out like a movie, usually an action movie, and I'm part of it. Like Bloomingdaydreamer said, it's entertaining :) I'm able to control my dreams to an extent, if it's taking a dark turn I can choose to go in a different direction or just wake myself up. Because of that, I hardly ever have bad dreams.

I used to have dreams where I could fly. I would flap my arms fast enough and I'd fly. That was an incredible feeling, but I haven't had one of those dreams in years.

I've never dreamed in black and white, I didn't know that was possible!

I get nocturnal panic attacks and night terrors. Meaning my dreams usually consist of me having a panic attack in them.. They are almost always about things that have already happened.
A lot of times they wake me up disoriented and it takes me a few minutes to remember where i am.

On the occasion that's not going on i'm usually dreaming about food. :D

I just had this crazy dream that felt like it lasted forever.....then I woke up, I was only asleep for an hour. I'm like well shoot, that's not enough. Slept another 3 or so and now I can't remember what it was about. GRRRRRRRR!

I feel bad "liking" posts about nightmares, but thanks to everyone for sharing.

I rarely dream, but if I'm in super REM sleep mode, I get nightmares.

And once in a while... I'll have these interesting dreams that come back once every few years, but the cool thing about it is that the dream is exactly the same, but at the end, the dream extends a little further so its like each time I dream it, I'm slowly revealing a mystery. :)
