Hi all

I jus wondering why many Christians judge people i always try not to judge but on here it is most extreme.
for example.

People who are scared and worried of their sexuality i know it a bit of a sore point to some Christians, but if somebody is scared or worried a fellow christian should support them and not tell them they going to hell and that stuff and give them passages from the bible. They are scared and just because they are homosexuals doesn't mean they are evil but they get treated like they are and this is not the Christian way is it.

Or if somebody is not a believer a lot of christians judge them evil and they going to go to hell. This is not true i have a very good friend she is a non believer and she is a goth, she is the most caring and kind person you would meet. I think she is more Christian then she think she is or more christian then some christians. She told me once she and her friend would go around and see if people were fighting and if they did they would stop it and calm the situation down and sort it out.

To me i just let them be who they want to be if they happy then thats is fine with me i have no problem. God wants us to be happy not sad and we all know what God does certainly not want us to lie and dose not want us to live a lie either.
The most disturbing thing to me is the Christians putting pressure on the people who are scared of their sexuality i not sure how to put this but here it goes. But the pressure they get of their fellow christians probably gets them to live a lie and they won't be happy in their lives ever and remember God hates lies.

For the people that do not believe well thats up to them we have no right in telling them to believe it is free will and how can they even start to believe when a christian is judging them. Remember God loves everybody in the world. God helps them to do good things. Have you ever seen the film evan almighty at the and God spelt ARK one Act of Random Kindness. That has always stayed with me that quote has and it will always be with me.

Anyway i just thought i put down how i felt about this situation i hope you agree with me please let me know if you do or you don't like to hear both sides.

Thanks for reading God Bless xx

Where do you think Christians are supposed to get their advice from? If not scripture then where?

If someone asked me if it is ok to lie, would I say, sure it's ok to lie, cos I don't want you to feel bad.

Homosexuality is a sin, but so is lying , stealing, murder...and sin separates us from God.

Are Christians required to speak the truth in love? Yes. But to NOT speak the truth at all is a sin as well.

I have a lot to say... but don't have time right now.

Sometimes people have good flesh, but that doesn't mean that they are christian. Some people were raised well and know how to care for others and how to treat others lovingly, but that doesn't mean that they are saved. You can only be save through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Himself asked, "Why do you call Me good? There is no one good but God in heaven."

Good people have and will go to hell. That is the truth. So will bad people. The only way one does not go to hell/judgment is through repentance of sins and salvation.

When we excuse sin in our lives, or in the lives of others, and say, "I'm a good person" or "they are a good person", that changes nothing. The wages of sin is death.

Some times, those that post on here aren't seeking help, deliverance or answers. They are looking for bleeding hearts to side with them and help them justify/condone their sinful choices or looking for fellow excusers to stand with them and give them more justification to continue in their sins.

I think that is why many come across harsh and blunt because, truly, the word of God is not gentle when dealing with sin. The word of God is a sword, sharp enough to separate bone and marrow, soul and spirit. I don't think that would be in the Bible if there wasn't a reason for us to know that the sword of God's word will cut deeply into us in order to purge our rebellious sin from our lives.

The Bible tells us to judge righteously.

God's Wrath on Unrighteousness
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21 “17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors,as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

To OP. You seem to be equating good works to 'being Christian'. Guess what, your non-Christian friend who rejects Christ is going to hell. That's not being judgmental, that's following the words of the bible. Just because she is a nice person has nothing to do with her salvation. It sounds to me you are not wanting to hear the bible and don't know the bible.
I get that some Christians throw scriptures at people in a useless manner, and that it does no good in the way they go about it. On the other hand, scripture is where we discover what we believe and why and is needed. Such as when God says mans good works (that he does under his own power) as 'filthy rags'. Meaning useless and no good. That we can't earn our way to heaven by doing good works by our own hands.
But at the same time you have to have knowledge of your own beliefs, and quit frankly, the way you sound in this post, you don't seem to know. If you did you wouldn't be making statements justifying the good works of a non-Christian as evidence of their salvation. It IS true if they are not saved they are not entering heaven. Read the bible. Its a sad reality, and not something i run around telling people, but it's still true.

We have no right to tell them to believe? What do you think the Great Commission is? 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel'?

God wants us to be happy? Can you use the bible to show that Gods concern for our happiness is more relevant than our salvation? I know there are a lot of judgmental Christians out there, and i'm not disagreeing with you on that point, but you really seem to have no clue what the bible teaches about being a Christian. Most of your post sounds more like a secular ideology on who God is, rather than a bible based belief that has you grounded in who God Himself says He is. Even though you might make some good points, you discredit yourself by your lack of knowledge about what some Basic Christian beliefs are.

1 Corinthians 2: The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. [SUP]11 [/SUP]For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. [SUP]12 [/SUP]What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. [SUP]13 [/SUP]This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[SUP][c][/SUP] [SUP]14 [/SUP]The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. [SUP]15 [/SUP]The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, [SUP]16 [/SUP]for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”[SUP][d][/SUP]

But we have the mind of Christ.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think there is a lot of confusion about judgment of spiritual matters because a lot of people don't seem to understand the difference between calling sin "sin" and personally attacking individuals.
Scripture is very clear about certain things being sin in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. A true follower of Christ has an obligation to share the truth of the scriptures, but to do so in love, not in personal mocking attacks. The Word of God can and will convict the hearts of both believers and unbelievers. A heart under conviction doesn't always react appropriately and, rather than recognizing the convicting power of the Word, an individual will often jump to the conclusion that the Christian is "judging" them.
If I had your way with words I would have tried expressing something like this myself. Thank you for pointing out the difference between calling sin "sin" and personal attacks. Way too many folks (Yes, I'm one of them), whenever considering certain ways of behaving a sin, seems to let the man downstairs take control from that point on, either by telling them a sin is not a sin (just cuz: mind you, that is mr./ms. holy mcholy, and I tell you, he/she aint no sinner whatever sin made) or the personal attack (whenever the person is some no count).
A loving and caring way of telling folks thats a sin is a sin might should be obligatory:).
to add a bit to this: some folks are mis-guided and maybe have had a bad Church-Christian experience in the past. so sometimes we need to think, as Christ said, about casting pearls before swine. I live in a collage town, and some of the kids are so anti-God they get angry at the mention of him. so they are living a sinful life and do not care and even know it. so there is not much point in saying anything to them. but some folks respond well to gentle truth as spoke of above.
I am wanting to know about the bible this is why i am here. I am born again Christian and i ask these questions to help me yes i might have less knowledge then you have on the bible i go to church every sunday to learn. And sometimes it is hard for me to understand things anything, learning just takes longer with me. But by people sending me quotes on the bible is very helpful to me and now that i have read them i understand it and i very thankful for this. I just put what i think and then i read what people say about it helps me learn and to get closer to God. And thank you also for also helping me. But let me make this point i do want to understand the bible and i do know some of it but i will get there just takes time for me.
There's a line between "hey, you're doing this and it concerns me" and "Hey you're a filthy sinner because of X and X and you're going to hell." The self-righteous arrogant face of Christianity is pretty ugly and is out in full view of the public. People see that instead of the love and grace Christ showed us that we're supposed to mirror and it drives them away.
telling people that sin will put you in hell is not judging its just the facts! Christians just want all to come to know Jesus and salvation . your Goth friend nice as she is, wont get her into heaven. Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross for our sins is so we don't have to go to hell. For your own salvation please ask God into your life and please start reading a bible, Jesus died for all of us and rose again so we can.! and its only through him that we are saved.
I think that the approach that some people take when talking to others about their sins can seem a little rude but, lying to someone about their sins in order not to hurt their feelings would also be a sin that I do not want to commit. Yes, I do tell them that what they are doing is a sin. I tell them about Christ and the sacrifices He made for us. I tell them about the glorious gift of salvation that is there for them if they will turn away from the sin, repent, and give their life to God through Jesus.
I try to be nice but, I do not sugar-coat either. I know you attract more flies using honey than vinegar (or however the saying goes) but, we are talking about people's souls. That is not something to take lightly. I know a lot of really nice people who do good works who are not saved. Unfortunately, being a good person is just not enough. I do not want these people to go to hell so I tell them the truth and I pray for them. I try not to be a bully about it but, I won't back down either. Their salvation is too important and it is the only way to save them for eternity. They may even think they hate me for it but, my words are said with nothing love for them--my love but, more importantly, our Father's love. If they realize the Truth, they will understand that their feelings of anger toward me were misplaced and that I did not take it personally at all.
Fact, that sin will put you in hell is just a first step of gospel and if we are going to say something like that, we should continue to say all steps I mean the whole gospel (which is actually joyful news)
But if we are not going to tell whole gospel, than I supposed do not speak about hell, bcause you are not helping …
Christians can be so hard sometimes .. so rough and insensitive … Jesus wasn’t like that, remember Him and Samarian women? He didn’t tell her that she is going to hell.. or that she is on the way to hell …
I agree that the main message in His Ministry (Jesus) was "love." However, Jesus certainly warned folks about what awaits them if they die in their unbelief...........
John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 .) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 .) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 .) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 .) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
(just to say........Jesus certainly taught what the wages of sin is........ :) )
