Actually I have no idea lol. Im new to the faith and have no Christian friends really of which to speak.
PS: I guess your gf has been a believer for longer than you, then?

If she's not expressed any interest in ink, then of course there's no need for her to pursue it!

Blessings.

She certainly has been a believer far, far longer than I. It's a monumentally huge blessing to be able to have her to assist me in growing in Christ. :)

I'm sure this is true; but you're not just on the receiving end! she will need encouraging, too! :)

Prayer and the Scriptures are vital to pursue daily, right?

Anyway, she may be into piercing more than ink; or maybe even not into jewelry at all. In any case, it's more important to cultivate the inward and spiritual.

Blessings.

I absolutely agree. I do my best to be there for her and to lift her up. I trust that as I continue to grow and learn, more ways to help her will begin to open up for me that I will be able to encourage and support her on greater levels.

He had a lot. All of his were faith based aswell.
PS:

Presley: Did you count how many? :)

Anyway, if you scroll up, I think you'll see that the discussion has been rather wide ranging this evening.

Blessings.

Oh no. Way too many to count. He had his arms, back and chest covered

Yes I seen it. Not sure what to think about that.

Lol though I have nothing wrong with having that many, it's not for me. A few is good enough lol
Presley: You can be a nicely tattooed Christian woman with faith based ink, without being completely covered! Not a huge lot, but so yours might extend to just a few?

Blessings.

Presley: Oh yes; your determination is clear about that one which you described, with the Bible and Philippians verse, making you a tattooed woman for the first time. Blessings.

So you can't see anything positive about tattoos? What about the story I mentioned, about my friend who shared his faith with his tattoo artist. Is that not imporatant? Or is sharing our faith with people like that just a waste? Is it impossible to use tattoos to spread the Gospel?

I'd also like if you could explain what is inherently and morally evil about getting a tattoo, specifically a tattoo based on the Christian faith.

I really dislike this question because it shows a huge lack of understand of the passage you are referring to.

its not me who decides what is morally right or wrong about Tattoos. Leviticus 19:28 is what God told us not my opinion or my perspective. It's God's law.

What about the adjacent verse about beards? do you wear one as a legal obligation?

And, with a bushy beard, do you buy only uncircumcised fruit at the supermarket? it's mentioned in the same chapter.

Oh no you're fine. No need to say sorry. There are a lot of comments and I do believe some on here did say something about Philippians so I'm not surprised you got a little mixed up. All is good :)

Presley:

Well, I reckon you are both very patient with old fogeys like me! and also a very determined young woman wanting to get tattooed in a faith based design.

Blessings.
