Do you think it's okay for Wives to wear Lingerie?

I'm not sure you understood the nuances here. The question itself is not bad. Rather, Nautilus is commenting on the culture of our particular community that would infer that such a thing MIGHT be wrong.

I think by now we can all agree that it's not wrong as long as it's for marriage and not meant to be seen by anyone other than her (any woman) husbands eyes alone. :)
So to the one who started this.. I do believe you are safe! Lol
No need to worry about it anymore. :)

Pretty much what Misty but then logically...if its not a sin to see your wife naked, why would it be a sin to see her in lingerie which is probably less revealing than nudity? The problem isn't his question but rather the taboo status most christian churches apply to sex that result in people honestly having no idea about the concept.
 
It's OK to see your wife in lingerie. You'll end up seeing her in her underwear and bra which is the same thing. Unless you choose to never dress or undress in front of each other, which not only would be kind of difficult but also a little weird.

I dont recall Asian woman who are cultured wanting to dress in a way that turns her husbands eyes from desiring her to lusting after her. Don't let the world mess with your mind. My wife knows what lingerie is used for and what decent underclothes are for. If your wife has never used such things then don't encourage it. You respect her for who she is. A Godly woman. However; if you don't know her very well then you should not take another sinner for granted. Remember! No lust shoukd be be encouraged. You both should focus on Christ's calling. Are you saying if a woman wears something like that it's for lust?

I see nothing wrong with a woman waiting to look "sexy" for her husband.
And I don't believe it makes it lustful for her to do so..
 
I have mixed feelings on this issue.

As much as I like lingerie... I don't like it enough to wear it.

A wife should be beautiful inside and out for her husband. If she feels good in sexy lingerie, then be happy you have found a woman that wants to make you happy.

That being said, I've always been a long, flannelette nightgown wearer at night, and my husband has no problem with that. I just know that my metabolism is slow, and these long, cold winter nights make cuddling in bed a bit special, no matter what we are wearing! LOL
 
I don't have any Biblical argument about wearing it. I just think my wife looks better without it.

But the outfits could be more about a woman's feelings about herself than how she looks.
 
The only problem I can forsee in a wife (or husband) wearing sexy lingerie for their spouse is that it might lead to dancing! Now we wouldn't want that. ;)
 
Here's my take on this...

I can see both perspectives... yeah lingerie add a little spice or whatever... and if you're married, sure it's probably okay. My only warning is that if you start liking to see your wife in lingerie and it becomes a thing, I can see a temptation growing there... for example, advertisements of women on television in lingerie or models etc... and initially it might not be the women themselves that attract you, but the lingerie becomes a reminder or trigger, which could ultimately lead you to lust after other women... and thus a possible slippery slope effect.

P.S. I didn't read every post so I don't know if someone said this already.
