Lately if I get off track or feel I've sinned, usually in word when I get angry, I try to pray for forgiveness in my head and move on, however, the guilt still stays and nags me until I get down on my knees and ask. I just wonder if I always need to do this, as it would be cumbersome to run to my room every time to kneel down and ask for forgiveness (although I DO do this every night at the foot of my bed before sleep). For example, I was watching a show with someone tonight and was stuck in my head because of the guilt. I wonder if I could simply pray in my head in these circumstances and move on without having to get up and disrupt the entire process.

The reason you feel that guit is because the Holy Spirit is convicting you. eAs for asking for forgiveness in your head I would say yes. God can hear you speaking weather you are speaking out loud, quietly, or even in your mind.

I think, you can. God will forgive us if we sincerely ask forgiveness from our heart.

IMO - Why would the positioning of your body or whether you ask silently, use your vocal chords in song or the spoken word make a difference. For that matter where you are shouldn't make a difference either - alone, in a crowd, church, home, in a park, in a car going down the road. Your heart and how sincere you are about your request for forgiveness plays the most important role. If you are really ready for forgiveness and repentant, it will come.

Romans 2 is a great chapter to read in relation to repentance, right?

Blessings.
