i think it's unfortunate when anyone expects someone to be completely on point with everything one believes. i don't agree with much that i've heard from her, but i appreciate that she's trying to change the landscape with something more worthy than miles of junk tv that is designed to appeal to the lowest elements of humanity.
i like that she is trying to get people to think and talk about issues that seem to be lacking attention. but that doesn't mean you have to agree with any of the views expressed. sometimes discussions are worth having because they inspire moments of recognition in one's self. sometimes people need to be prodded to learn to articulate their views.
if you're regularly calibrating your mind with your bible, one isn't vulnerable to such opposing views.

I think the issue is that she is a very influential figure who is actively teaching anti-Christian views and preaching a new age message. And masses of people are following her message. She is a very active advocate in pulling people away from truth and leading people away from God. I think that bears some scrutiny.
If you step back and look at the larger picture, what is the bigger priority, that she sparks conversations on topics, or that she is leading millions astray down a path away from God?
Look at it from Gods angle. Do you think Gods attitude is 'well, she's deceiving millions of people and trashing my people, but at least she's sparking conversations'? Sorry, i don't see God viewing it that way. I believe He would feel His truth and His salvation takes priority over her 'positive deception'.

here's the problem i have with that.
there are messages EVERYWHERE. in a sense, i appreciate that it's overt. i can see what you're saying about the fact that some might fail to recognize the truth from subtle untruth. however, that exists in almost every medium we expose ourselves to, and there are SO many thought leaders, pastors, teachers and other "notables" representing only half truth. so are we willing to constantly cover our ears when we listen to those we don't agree with speak, or eschew almost all secular programs and movies that constantly tell us that we find true fulfillment in others & relationships, that truth and goodness lies within ourselves, and that our freedom of choice trumps every consequence of such decisions?
please hear, i don't think it's ideal for anyone to dine on a steady diet of anything that isn't consistent with what is 100% right, beneficial, or edifying, oprah included. i'm not championing her messages. but when i listen to a group of people talk about her "evil messages", i want to ask,
so you're not watching television and movies with violence, sex and non-christian themes either?
you don't listen to music whose lyrics discuss things outside of christian behavior?
you don't have any people in your life with influence who oppose your views?
there are a lot of christians who seem to be openly supportive of things that i find rather inconsistent with true Christian values, simply because they've been slid into a "christian acceptable" bucket because they've made one statement or given a single interview that makes them sound "christianese". i'm thinking in particular of a reality tv show. in some ways i find that MORE dangerous.
the road is narrow. and because it's a statement made by God, we are required to expect that truth. i think the fact that there are people willing to accept a substitute messiah for the real thing is simply evidence of that statement.
it's not because oprah is causing the confusion. the confusion was there first.
we are called to live in this world, yet not become a part of it. is it reasonable to think that we as christians are required to learn how to decipher the real thing from the lies? is it not true that a substitute held up to the real thing will only reveal the imposter to be a fraud?
this reminds me of how Jesus taught, using parables. He intentionally taught in a manner that demanded those who heard to seek out its meanings. even the disciples would need help understanding what these stories meant. i don't think it's an accident that Jesus required those to seek Him. being a christian requires, even demands us to seek truth in our lives.
when anyone holds up a book, a word, a person with all the answers, we all should immediately compare them and their words to the real thing. if you're doing that, they've lost their power.
i think it's too convenient to vilify any one person for being singly responsible for leading people astray. if we are at risk to be led astray by her, then we are at risk to be led astray by ourselves! either we follow the shepherd or we don't. we serve one master, or we don't. anything less is deceiving ourselves.

In my opinion, Oprah Winfrey is the epitome of evil. If you believe in the New World Order/ Illuminati, which ARE real, btw, she is their biggest mouthpiece to spread the lies of Satan all through the world. It's long been known that she is demon-possessed and works for a power other than God. She promotes the agenda of the NWO and Illuminati. I believe ministers who are teaching the gold dust belief is blaspheming the Sacred Word by taking Exodus 32:20 out of context.
