How can you read the New Testament without any of the Old Testament to round it out? How can you read the Old Testament without going to the New to see how it is reinforced and rounded out? Are you suggesting that I am to listen to the NT as a denial of what God says in the Old? Then I suggest to you that you see how the two relate to each other.

when Paul went into a new area and reasoned with them from scripture who Jesus was and what he came to do what scripture do you think he used? Do you not think he used the LAW and prophets? WHo spoke of JESUS. Is that not the MILK of the word? (when I have a new believer or person who is open to who CHrist is, Where do you think I take them? Revelations?? I take them to where Paul took his people. and the gospels. AFter they have this down, why would I go back there again??

Christ fuflilled the law so we who are condemned by the law can be restored to a relationship with him.

Yes, I think Paul used the scripture that was available to him, then, and there was no "NT". The scripture he had told of Christ to people new to learning that Christ had come. They had been told he was going to come for hundreds and hundreds of years, but he had only very recently come and it was hard for many to believe, Paul had a monumental job to do and yes, he used scripture to do it.

The scripture that Paul used to teach had a LOT of meat in it. Paul was against using the rituals that God had used to point to that meat. Today's Christians who read Paul are saying that meant to toss out meat and rituals and all. That is not right. Paul did not want to teach rituals.

When you read Paul, who had scripture as a part of him, from the viewpoint of someone who focuses on scripture that hadn't been written yet and discounting much of what was part of Paul as only milk, it is very difficult to understand Paul.
