Nice Ideas, But you did not explained how this controversy started,
ACT 15

Paul and Bernabe were converting Gentiles (people of non Jew Race), on those days Jews will discriminate anyone who is non Jew.
Some Pharisees converted to Christ, But as they have that legalistic and tradition oriented mind, went to the places Paul were teaching to "fix things up", So they Try to push the gentiles into "CIRCUMCISION AND OBEDIENCE OF THE LAW OF MOSES".
Paul have a big argument with them, and as there was no agreement, they decided to go an ask the other apostles for their advice.
In this frame acts 15 says the "GENTILES DO NOT HAVE TO OBEY THE LAW".
Now this words seems to scary, No one in this Chat or Out of this Chat has ever been able to explain the council of Jerusalem to me, they always try to work around it.

Could please some one here explain more about the council of Jerusalem?

Thanks.
It's very simple. The council of Jerusalem is made up of the apostles.

Here is a link if you wish to read more on it.

Yes, those in Christ are not under the law, for their sin has been judged in Christ.
I would rephrase that a bit. We are under the law of Christ (Gal 6:2 & 1 Cor 9:21) but the consequences of transgressing the law has no hold on those in Christ. So by the blood of Jesus and His grace, the consequences of sin (breaking the law of Christ) is nullified. So if the law can not condemn us it's hold over is nullified.

Those in the new covenant are not under the law of Moses, which has a curse for imperfect obedience (Dt 27:26; Gal 3:10);
they are under the law of Christ, where there is no curse/condemnation (Ro 8:1) for imperfect obedience.

Isayah 24:1-6, "Behold, Yahweh makes the earth empty and makes it waste, perverts the face of it and scatters abroad its inhabitants; And it will be: as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his owner; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with him who takes usury, so with him who gives usury to him: The land will be utterly emptied and utterly plundered, for Yahweh has spoken this word. The earth mourns and fades away, the world mourns and fades away, and the haughty people of the earth languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants of it, because they have transgressed the Laws, changed the ordinance, and broken the everlasting covenant. Because of this, the curse has devoured the earth, and they who dwell therein are desolate; therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left."

Truly not trying to be argumentative but I don't understand what it is you are really trying to say. That the 10 Commandments are sin?

When I say sin is transgression of the law it means to me that the 10 Commandments show me what sin is. If I go against God's law then I am transgressing the law of God and I have sinned. Jesus came to fulfill the law and since I have given my heart and life to Jesus His death on the cross covers my sin and I am forgiven. Because I love the Lord I want to keep His commandments because He has also said go and sin no more. Again the 10 Commandments show me what not to do and I can only keep them because the Holy Spirit is living in me.
The 10 commandments aren't sin. They are the ministration of death. Because they point out sin. That is all they are able to do. Condemn.

When we come to Jesus He frees us from this ministration of Death and places us under His Grace, the ministration of the Spirit.

I want to keep His Commandments too and there is only one way to do it. Abide in Christ.

Romans 8:1-9
[SUP]1[/SUP]There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. [SUP]2 [/SUP]For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For what the law (10 commandments) could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
[SUP]4 [/SUP]That the righteousness of the law (10 commandments) might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

I partially agree with your last sentence.

Ezekiel 36:25-27

[SUP]25 [/SUP]Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

You are walking in His Statutes and keeping His Judgements because He has put His Spirit in you and Caused you to do them.

Abiding in Christ...

The track record of God's people in correctly interpreting prophetic riddles is nothing short of dismal, going all the way back to the prophecies regarding the Messiah, right up to our present day in all the prophetic interpretations that make the news.

The meaning of prophetic riddles, apart from the Bible explaining them (as in Da 2), is uncertain until they are fulfilled.
With those facts in mind, I do not engage in uncertain interpretation of prophetic riddles,
but take my understanding from the certain and unequivocal teaching of the NT.

There's nothing hard about that Hiz?!
The end time here is speaking of the Old Way in Adam,
which took place in that generation from 30ad to 70ad!

You don't mis understand that this is an endtime!
But it has nothing to do with the cosmos!
It's speaking about the Old Creation Covenant in Adam!
It had to fall and give way to the New Creation in Christ Jesus!

The earth is the covenant land of Israel,
and it's haughty people are that evil generation Jesus spoke of!

This was the curse that Moses prophesied over a thousand yrs earlier!

If you read the whole chapter it is about the tribulation which not many men will survive and then the Kingdom reign takes place under Jesus Christ.

21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.

Still talking about the same thing and the only ones that will make it through are those whose faith is in the cross and nothing else. If your law saves you then trust it. It is only tour curse and the cross is the only thing that can free you from the curse of the law. Keep it if you can or come to the saving grace of the cross. His hand is outstretched and His blood cleanses.

Thank you Hiz!
It is the same thing as I said above!
It's the symbolic prophetic language of the Ancient Prophets of Israel!
Concerning the end of the Old Way, and the beginning of the New Way in Christ Jesus!

The Great and terrible Day of the Lord!
Who can stand?
The Prophets of Old and the Apostles alike,
seen the end of the Old Way in Adam.

Scripture offers many warnings against the so called Judaizers.

Danschance has already quote Gal 5:9
A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Leaven refers to the doctrine of righteousness by works of the law, as Jesus spoke of in Matt 16:11-12.
How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

The Judaizses preach a similar doctrine/leaven of righteousness by works of the law.

And where else do we see "leaven" spoken of?

1Cor 5:7
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Note that in the same context with "leaven", that it also speaks of fornication with one's father's wife.
1Cor 5:1
It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

How is "leaven" and "fornication" linked being that they're both in the same context within 1Cor 5?
Remember, "leaven" refers to the doctrine of righteousness by works of the law (Matt 16:12), which is similar to the doctrine of the Judaizers spoken of in this topic.

Who is the "father" referred to in 1Cor 5?
Jesus tells us in John 8:44 when he addressed the Pharisees.

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.

And who is this father's wife?
Consider Gal 4:21-24
Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar

"Hagar" is symbolic of righteousness by works of the law.
"Leaven" is likewise symbolic for righteousness by works of the law.

So we see 1Cor 5 speaking against the Judaizers.
The Judaizers are referred to as spiritual fornicators, fornicating with their father's (the devil) wife (Hagar/rigtheousness by works of the law).

And note 1Cor 5:11-13 .
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Here we see the warning that Christians are not even to associate with these spiritual fornicators.
Why?
Because a little leaven, leavens the whole lump, Gal 5:9
Christians must not tolerate any of the false gospel of the Judaizers within the Christian congregation.

Unless today's Judaizers repent, then they will be described as spiritual drunkards (1Cor 5:11), drunk with the wine of fornication with Hagar (symbolic of righteousness by works of the law).
Rev 17:1,2
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

The mosaic law helps no one at all. It condemns when you break it and ONLY the blood of the lamb can save you. The law can't save or protect or anything but condemn.

Elin I now see what you are calling prophetic riddles. and I would agree, much of God's word on prophecy is so unclear, (riddles) that ,as I teach, we can not be sure about much of it until it happens and God gives the interpretation Himself. But the New T, prophecy of Jesus 2nd coming is much clearer to me then the Old t. was to them in their O.T. days, concerning future events, Because they were predicting Jesus 1st and His 2nd, Now we only have the 2nd coming to be concerned with. BUT that has given us so much division because of bad exegesis. In here , we can not agree on How a sinner gets saved. The secret things are God's, let us just work on what is revealed, by learning a good method of interpretation. Love to all, Hoffco ps. Isa 24 may not have a future meaning, I am not interested enough to study it. But, the land was waste land for 1900 yrs.

I have read the Topic only.
This of great concern.
Gentiles do not know what it means to be CLOSE to GOD
because we do not have the Spirit... Jews will not tell but they will TAKE every thing...

Jesus is restoring the Spirit and Gifts to his prive non-church SHEEP.

Baptism has to be corrected..The things work quite smoothly...

Calling on the name of the LORD is customary.

Acts.22
[16] Now why do you tarry (Paul)?
Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins,
calling on the name of the LORD (who incarnated as Jesus Christ)

Pss.116
[13] I will take (happily accept) the Cup of Salvation (from the dishonored Son)
and I will call upon the name of the LORD (Jesus, starting in baptism)

Pss.99
[6] Moses and Aaron were among his Priests
and Samuel was among those (Judges) of Israel,
who call upon his name
They called upon the LORD (Jesus) and he answered them.
*
Time Magazine, Dec. 5, 1955: Record of a True Baptism in Rome 100 A.D.

"The deacon raised his hand, and Publius Decius stepped through the baptistery door.

Standing waist-deep in the pool was Marcus Vasca the wood seller.
He was smiling as Publius waded into the pool beside him.
'Credis?' he asked.
Credo' responded Publius.
'I believe that my salvation comes from Jesus the Christ, who was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
With Him I died that with Him I may have Eternal Life.'
Then he felt strong arms supporting him as he let himself fall backward into the pool,
and heard Marcus' voice in his ear,
'I baptize you in the Name of the Lord Jesus'
as the cold water closed over (buried) him."
***
The above Baptism conforms to the Scriptures.
The baptizer called upon/ over the BURIED candidate the 'name of the LORD Jesus, our Savior.'
Calling on the name of the LORD can be found throughout the ’Israelite Scriptures.’
To call God by his name, to get his attention and a response,
was always the sensible Israelite custom.
If we want to join the Israelite GOD and his children then we must obey his simple teachings.
The candidate MUST also >> PERSONALLY call on Jesus, for forgiveness and a good life,
while >> buried under the water.
*
Calling on Jesus, by his Christians, as recorded in the Writings of our N. T. Scriptures.
Acts.2
[21] It shall come to pass,
that whosoever shall
>> (LITERALLY) call on the name of the LORD (Yahweh/Jesus in baptism) shall be saved.

Acts.9
[14] Here Paul has authority from the Chief Priests to bind
all who >> (literally) call on your name.

Acts.19
[13] Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists,
took upon themselves to >> call (on) the name of the LORD Jesus,
over people who had evil spirits,
saying: We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.

Rom.10
[11]..:
Whoever believes on Christ shall not be disappointed.
[12] There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek,

for the same LORD (Jesus, the merciful God of Israel),
who is over every single person, in every single nation,
is >> rich to (enriches; 2 Cor.9:11; 1 Cor.1:5 below.) everyone who >> calls upon him.
[13] because whoever, (in any large numbers) shall

>> call upon the (literal) name of the LORD (Yahweh/ Jesus, starting in baptism like Peter said),
shall be saved (per Joel)

1 Cor.1
[2] To the church of GOD who is at Corinth,
to them who are separated in Christ Jesus,
called to be saints,
with all brothers who in every place >> call upon the name of Jesus Christ our common LORD

[h=3]1Cor.1[/h][13] Is Christ divided?
Was Paul crucified for you?
Were you baptized in (into calling) the name of Paul?
*
Baptized in (into/ calling on) Jesus, the incarnated LORD, the God of Israel.

[h=3]The opinion of any believer who has not correctly baptized,[/h][h=3]is equivalent to the opinion of an un-baptized person of any other religion.[/h][h=3] [/h][h=3]The people of the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] covenant are the willing people of Christ, who go to Christ, our maker[/h][h=3]Christ is the previous God of the unwilling (Israelites)[/h]*
Acts.2
[38] Peter (who is Jesus’ and GOD’s anointed Servant) said to the other Israelites
Every one of you, (without exception),
repent (turn) and be
>> baptized in (into/ calling on) the name of
Jesus Christ (the Savior of Israel) for the remission of your sins
and then you shall receive (from Jesus) the (excellent) Gift of the Spirit.

Catholic Confessions about>>Changing the Baptism Ordinance from GODAnd >>Deceiving all nations, for about 1700 years. This has resulted in Spiritual death and unhappiness for numberless, international people, planet wide.*The Catholic Encyclopedia, II, page 263: "The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christto the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century."***
The Jerusalem Bible, a scholarly Catholic work, states: "It may be that this formula, (Triune Matthew 28:19) so far as the fullness of its expression is concerned,is a reflection of the (Man-made) liturgical usage established later in the primitive (Catholic) communityIt will be remembered that Acts speaks of baptizing "in the name of Jesus,"..."***
The Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C. 1923,New Testament Studies Number 5: The Lord's Command To Baptize An Historical Critical Investigation. By Bernard Henry Cuneo page 27."The passages in Acts and the Letters of St. Paul. These passages seem to point to the earliest form as baptism in the name of the Lord."Also we find. "Is it possible to reconcile these facts with the beliefthat Christ commanded his disciples to baptize in the trine form?Had Christ given such a command, it is urged, the Apostolic Church would have followed him,and we should have some trace of this obedience in the New Testament. No such trace can be found. The only explanation of this silence, according to the anti-traditional view,is this the short Christological (Jesus Name) formula was (the) original, and the longer trine formula was a later development."***
Catholic Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger:He makes this confession as to the origin of the chief Trinity text of Matthew 28:19."The basic form of our (Matthew 28:19 Trinitarian) profession of faith took shapeduring the course of the second and third centuries in connection with the ceremony of baptism. So far as its place of origin is concerned, the text (Matthew 28:19) came from the city of Rome.“The Trinity baptism and text of Matthew 28:19 therefore did not originate from the original Churchthat started in Jerusalem around AD 33.It was rather as the evidence proves a later invention of Roman Catholicism completely fabricated.Very few know about these historical facts. *
Eph. 4
[5] ONE LORD (Jesus),
ONE Faith, (in BOTH, the good Son and the good Father)
>> ONE (acceptable) baptism, (calling on Jesus from under the water that is easily proven)

More research is available.
Grace is great, various and ongoing…
Everyone gets very happy and LOVES it.
Jesus still, accepts us if we PERSONALLY baptize ourselves,
calling on him for forgiveness and help,
as is the Israelite custom.

Water baptism is very important for the child of God. It is not absolutely needed for salvation but for a person who keeps refusing to be baptized, and is in rebeling against submitting to water baptism, I am very much thinking that they are not saved. If a person have a good physical reason why they can not be baptized, I would not push it. But water baptism is a part of our ongoing salvation and a source of saving grace as any witnessing of our faith is a part of on ongoing salvation, we are being saved and in the future we will be saved by God fully glorifying us at death. Love to all, Hoffco

I have read the Topic only.
This of great concern.
Gentiles do not know what it means to be CLOSE to GOD
Gentiles do not know what it means to be close to God? That is bizarrely absurd.

8"For I also am a man placed under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it." 9Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled at him, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, "I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith."10And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.
Luke 7
And...

1At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, 2a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God. 3About the ninth hour of the day[SUP]a[/SUP] he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.” 4And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God. 5And now send men to Joppa and bring one Simon who is called Peter. 6He is lodging with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.” Acts 10
