No.

You twist it by adding mosaic law.

Do you not see how foolish this sounds?

No one in the OT was saved by works. But God ads works to the NT? So we have a harder way to God than they did??

Yeah right..
Obedience is a work.

Obedience is a work.
Yes it is.

The law states the requirement

It also says you ar guilty.

So you have a certificate of debt out against you. That debt is death. (for the penalty of sin is death)

Thus you can NEVER be obedient enough to earn salvation. No matter how good you are, and what work you do. You still have that certificate of debt (penalty of sin) against you.

so am I.

I am more passionate about making sure someone I live is on the right track to heaven. Eternity is too long to get this wrong.
No doubt for sure...what I have a hard time with is that people are blind to the following facts....

1. Many come before Jesus claiming a right to enter heaven based upon...

a. Their works
b. Their ability to prophesy
c. Their ability to cast our demons....

Jesus said I never knew you.....He does not say that they did not do the things that they are stating that they have done, but rather that HE NEVER KNEW THEM which goes to the root of what they believe for salvation and testifies that there salvation was not biblical and or acceptable....

The question is...WHY WERE THEY NOT ACCEPTABLE and NOT KNOWN BY JESUS......because they are attempting to come by some other way than JESUS...I.E. THEIR WORKS.......THEIR ABILITIES TO PROPHESY ......and THEIR ABILITIES to cast out evil spirits and or demons.....

Yes thier works of righteousness ( and we can not say they are works of the law. They are not)

As paul said, Not by works of righteouness (any good deed) we have done, but by HIS MERCY he saved us, by the WASHING and RENEWAL of the HOLY SPIRIT

I actually like the book of James and when taken in context is easily understood.....SHOW ME YOUR WORKS......
When taken into context, you find Abraham was justified by obedient works, just like us :

 James 2:21 (NKJV)
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

Abraham obeyed God.

So your doctrine some how allows you to be immortal?

under your doctrine you could never be able to be saved by Christ because you refuse to be obedient to Him.

Abraham obeyed God.
Romans states that he was justified before GOD by faith.....and even uses David as another example of righteousness being imputed without the deeds of the law (works).....

So Abraham wasn't saved until he offered Isaac? My bible states that he had faith before he had circumcision which was way before he offered Isaac....

Eternally Grateful is right...you and your cousin Mr. Twisty should sit down and re-study the bible very sloooowly so as to jive your doctrine with the entire bible...

James----->A man's faith justified before men by his works

Romans--->Men justified before God by faith---->which results in biblical works--->James--->Our faith justified before men by our works<-----Produced by faith----->justifies us before God=works that are biblical....

My doctrine confirms I am immoral. Thus I agree with Paul. That although at the present time, by SPirit is alive because of righteousness (Christs) My body is dead because of sin (mine)

under your doctrine you could never be able to be saved by Christ because you refuse to be obedient to Him.
No,

Under yours you will never be able to be saved, Because your trying to pay your certificate of death of by your works. Which were never a requirement to be paid.

The penalty of sin is death. Not doing all these works.

No place in the OT or new did God say the penalty of sin is to be baptized. So when you are baptized, your certificate of debt is paid in full, and you are released or acquitted of this debt.

It says the penalty is death, Thus ONLY death can pay the certificate.

Trying to pay your debt by being good and being baptized is like trying to pay your bak loan off with monopoly money, Your works are useless (or as God calls them, As filthy rags)

You have a choice which death, Yours or Christs??

Hey, Thanks, I just learned something new.

All abraham had when he was circumcized was Ishmael. This all he had was sin. He was saved before he was circumcized. And this happened, before he even had the promised child. or did any work..

Matthew 7:22-23 (NKJV)
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' [SUP]23 [/SUP]And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

The Lord said they would "practice lawlessness" aka disobedient, so they will not do the righteous works of "obedience".
and those who do not obey Him "practice lawlessness" he will declare to them "I never knew you"

No

He said the practice lawlessness.

This would represent any person who ever lived. Including you.

The difference is. They did works.. As you do. So what separates you from them?

I would not consider myself least yet. I have a long way to go.(Paul and Jesus were great teachers of how this is done) I just pray I am not so boastfull, I end up trying to be first..lol

So why do you suppose he equates their works, prophesy and casting out of demons to lawlessness?

and the end result of their desire to enter heaven is...........I NEVER KNEW YOU WHICH GOES TO THE ROOT OF THEIR??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

SALVATION!------------->IF YOU ARE NOT BIBLICAL IN SALVATION NOTHING ELSE MATTERS......

DID the PHARISEES KEEP THE LAW OUTWARDLY? YES....WERE THEY SAVED?

NO>>>WHITE WASHED COFFINS FILLED WITH DEAD MEN'S BONES

Abraham, and David, and we are justified the same, the problem you have is you think you can just sit there and obtain righteousness, when the bible says we, like Abraham and David, were justified by obedience, they showed their faith by obedience resulting in righteousness.

Your problem is that you don't know what you are talking about...as I never said and or implied the bolded false accusation that you posted here....go re read my op on my responsibility unto the commandments of God because of salvation and then start flappin your lips about things that you are ignorant of mi amigo :)

SO do you chunk Romans and what is said about being justified by faith apart from works and that works are evidence of faith?
