Would you tell Christ that same statement?
Luk 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
Luk 22:16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
Luk 22:17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
Luk 22:18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
Luk 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Luk 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Here we see Jesus Christ Himself keeping the Passover with the New Testament symbols. So, by your reasoning, Christ was not keeping the Passover correctly?
of course he kept
it. he was born under the law to redeem those under the law.
after he suffered he
became Christ our Passover sacrificed for us, when
it was fulfilled in the Kingdom of God. the type (ordinance) was made obsolete when
he became our passover.
and how is it he would be observing the passover with "new testament" symbols? the bread and wine
are the receiving of the new covenant peace (offering)
from God, as the broken bread is his body.
Here we find Paul keeping the New Testament Feast of Unleavened Bread and instructing a Gentile church in Corinth...
no we don't. you are a false teacher, and your leaven is false doctrine, leavening the whole lump.
1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Would you be so bold as to tell Paul he is keeping the Feast incorrectly?
typically of false teachers
like you, you have left off the subject of this passage. which you have
already been corrected on.
it is not bread crumb clean-up taught to gentiles.
it's about a sinful man inside the church leavening the congregation INTO SIN.
here are the sacred words you are twisting and using for your own end. you are incapable of heeding the warnings about your false teaching, but others will.
1 Corinthians 5
Immorality Defiles the Church
5 It is actually reported that
there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named[
a] among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s wife!2 And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.[
b]
6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?7
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.[
c] 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Immorality Must Be Judged
9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.
12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges.
Therefore “
put away from yourselves the evil person.”[
