The sad truth is that atleast 2 known homosexuals influenced the niv used in most churches today. Dr Marten Woudstra, and Virginia Mollencott. If this is not convincing enough that the niv is straight from hell, consider this- the parent company(Harper Collins) who publishes the niv, also publishes, the joy of gay sex, and the satanic bible, it doesn't take a whole lot of common sense to figure this out. The niv is evil and corrupt. Its absolute blasphemy what the niv translators did to Phillipians 2:6.

Whether it is the NIV crowd or a team of puritans of the 17th century or whatever. Unless you know Koine Greek or Aramaic then you need to trust others to translate it for you.

Well, it's a long subject to discuss. I personally use KJV and will never betray it

It's accurate and trustworthy but it's not the only version. I use the KJV myself.

The Russian Synodal version of the Bible is trustworthy also, but it's not the church that makes it 'authentic'.

Isaiah 14:12

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]12 [/SUP]How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Just so anyone reading the post I'm replying to doesn't get confused, the "Latin" meaning of Lucifer can be translated as morning star, light bringer, etc..........but the Hebrew word does not literally translate that way. It's not that the bible itself mistranslates anything, but some people will claim that's what the name "Lucifer" actually means. It's true of the particular language Latin, but not of any original languages scripture is written in. I have seen these verses twisted in crafty manners by others during my occult involvement in my pre-salvation youth. I'm only bringing this up because it just seemed like a good place to point this out to anyone who may have questions regarding these verses in comparison.

the niv translators had access to earlier documents than did the kjv translators. i guess they thought that if something wasn't in a fragment from the 4th century but showed up in 8th century manuscripts then it might be a later addition.
