I had an abortion. I've had to live with that for over 20 years. I thought it was the right thing to do at the time as my doctor said it was because i was severely depressed. My doctor was wrong. This was in the 80's and they didnt offer me other "pro life" resources, I was alone. I killed my child. Now that I have children the impact of that resonates in my heart. I finally stopped letting satan call me a murder and understand that the blood of the Lamb is for all of my sins, not just the minor ones. I would recommend anyone considering it pm me & we will talk. I wish I would have made a different decision. As far as the rape goes... you dont just deal with that... later you deal with the murder of your child. You sugar coat it at the time with words like its not a baby until so many months... but deep down you know differently. It was hard for me to see one cc members old avatar (was an aborted fetus) cause its like a punch in the face every time i'd see it... I DID THAT!! but thanks be to my Lord thanks be to my Lord thanks be to my Lord who was beat so badly and nailed to that cross for my black soul now pure as snow.
So let me ask you a question...
A doctor has two patients come into an ER emergency room with a pole that has impaled both people. They are both still living, but removing the obstruction in one patient, will kill the other? What choice would you make? (True example from an ER doctor, who says his mandate is to save a life.)
Yes, abortion is wrong, but are there not circumstances that physicians are forced as above, to save one life at the expense of another? For example, save the child's life at the expense of the mother's life, or vice versa. We are so quick to say that this is a "black and white" issue...the choice to abort a child is wrong, that choice is wrong, but circumstances don't always comply to our black and white theories!!
Just some thoughts......

Firstly i would definitly save one than have both die - thats question is a wee bit silly in my mind. I was pritty much taught that when i started going to early medical classes - i go to college i am 14, but i want to be a doctor, and one of the first topics was dealing with dieing pateints and such ect ect...
Sometimes in life there are those choices, but how often do they happen probably not 1/500,000.
As for saving the mother for the child, I know someone who wished she saved the child instead of her, just because she couldnt live with the guilt of having killed an innocent defensless child.
Its not a black and white issue , ur right, its the issue of having sex and getting rid of any responsibility that may be the result of that, which is an innocent child in which God has blessed you with.
I would definitly die and have my child live, i would leave my husband with a child, and if hes' dead, that one of my many brothers could have the child, or even my parents.
God Bless

no its not it is 1 week - a baby is already a boy/girl and has got all the chromosons to give it finger prints - trust me we are learning all about it in biology
plus i researched pritty much everything on this topic, when i was debating it lat year.
Having chromosons to give it fingerprints and actually having fingerprints as you claimed, are obviously two different things. A fetus (and it's called that because it isn't technically a baby yet) doesn't even have fingers at 1 week (try 1-2 months).

Yes thats why I stressed the word fetus in my post, rather than baby as Kathleen did.
Well at 1 week it's technically still an embryo. How can you call the scientific community silly? You need to learn respect for the scientists.
Sorry , sub-topic of when fingerprints grow. There's one thing that really harms the anti-abortion argument and that's believing and giving false information. I bet the fetal pictures kathleen presented were also fakes, it is well known there are fake abortion pictures circulating on the internet, most are not abortions at all.
