Yeah. Just not a good feeling to sit in a room full of 'friends' and left feeling like you are invisible. I may as well just be alone for real.

I... have... no idea what that means...
Disciple's "invisible" comes to mind, but that's not from their rap-rock days and thus doesn't belong in this thread.

You're not invisible to me though. Snap... the song... it's stuck in my head...

Will you accept metal lawn ornaments related to a Christian message?

That's a good start.

Found Julio Rey's Youtube page, of The Lead/Franks Enemy fame. This is an old fan video from 1989 of them live.

I remember buying their very first CD, Snuff The Punk. I enjoyed all the way up to Satellite, even though by then they had gone way more commercial than they started out as. After that i lost interest. And so much controversy around their beliefs.
Then when i read that they had held back on putting cussing in many of their albums, even though songs were written with the words in them, i lost even more. I believe it was the song Murdered Love that had f-bombs in the original studio records and then they decided to remove them.
When their guitarist quit years ago, citing that the bands beliefs were so off track he couldn't stay a member, but then went to do some project laced with profanity and He seemed to be the one off the deep end.. i don't know. There's just too much questionable stuff about that band to support them.

re: P.O.D.
there's some discussion about them in this thread, and interviews with Sonny Sandoval posted.
http://christianchat.com/christian-music-forum/55693-christian-rap-rock.html

i never really followed them closely, but reading and listening to Sonny talk with interviewers about his ministry & the purpose of the band puts some of the 'questionable' songwriting in perspective.

Stumbled on these guys, i see they have an album all the way back from 1983?? Never heard of this band. This isn't the same Warlord that did Cult of Remorse.

In the fields of the flesh there was battle
When the Sword of the Lord came to take me back
My spirit burned with fire, my eyes were full of tears

The Lord moved with power
He came to find me when I was lost
He took my sins to a mountain and he nailed them to a cross

In the years of my youth there was battle
When the legions of Hell led the main attack
My life was full of horror, my mind was full of fear

The Sword slew with power
The legions lay on the battle field
He lifted me from the mire and he clothed me with His shield

70,000 Sorrows, 70,000 tears
70,000 sufferings written across my years
70,000 Sorrows, 70,000 stays
70,000 epitaphs written across my face

70,000 Sorrows, 70,000 tears
70,000 sufferings written across my years
70,000 Sorrows, 70,000 stays
70,000 epitaphs written across my face

70,000 Sorrows, 70,000 tears
70,000 sufferings written across my years
70,000 Sorrows, 70,000 stays
70,000 epitaphs written across my grave

Maybe I'm just getting old,but I haven't been "blown away" by a band in ages. Is it because all the newness of discovering awesome Christian bands is gone??? I remember when I first heard stuff like Saviour Machine, and Global Wave System,Living Sacrifice...those bands made my little metal/industrial heart leap for joy. Now,no bands really do that for me. Anyone else feel that way? Is the newness just gone or am I spoiled?

This is a secular band with a Christian guitar player (Catholic I believe) I have been into these guys since I discovered them in 1984. The drummer (Mark Zonder - aka Thunderchild) was the reason I got into wanting to learn drums. He played for a long time in Fates Warning after Warlord disbanded, but in the past few years Warlord reformed with a few of the original members and have released an album or two since. I have the last one that came out as well as their first 3 albums. They do have some semi christian lyrics here & there.
