I am VERY sleepy at work today through no fault of my own as my sleep plans were sabotaged last night...Not naming names, but you know who you are. :p
I know who they are too since I was there for a few minutes haha I'm also struggling to stay awake at work today.

I was also informed last night that this might be a once in a lifetime dealio, thereby guilting my into staying up too late. After reading Rachel's post, I now know that this was just a marketing ploy to keep my fun loving, good natured wits in the room.

*sigh* What am I going to do with you people? :p

Nice avatar BTW Rachel. I wear converse shoes to work everyday (albeit knockoffs).

Depending on the Christian denomination Fenner because for example Catholics and Protestants uses different calculation for Easter and Christmas than our calculation. So the answer to your question would be yes, same day in each country, but not all denominations celebrates it at the same time every time. It happens that this year Easter for Coptic Orthodox falls on the same day with Catholics and Protestants.

I have a question, is Easter celebrated the same day in each country? I'm just curious.

Also, not all denominations celebrates Easter on the same day every time. It just happens this time that we will celebrate it together. But there is a difference in calculation for Easter and Christmas between us (Coptic Orthodox) and Protestants and Catholics. Protestants and Catholics I think they use the same calculation, I'm not sure. What I'm sure of that we don't use the same calculation like Catholics and Protestants.

Easter Sunday is on the same date worldwide, but the date changes from year to year.

Although Easter and Passover are not the same holiday the two holidays are interrelated thus Passover and Easter being celebrated at the same time. Christ (the Passover Lamb) was crucified during the observance of Passover thus the observance of Easter chasing Passover around the calendar since the Jewish calendar which dictates when Jewish festivals are held is a lunar calendar (based on the lunar cycles) whereas our calendar is based on the solar cycle.

I refuse to feel guilty, since you people keep me up way too late all the time.

(Okay I feel a little guilty. I'm sorry I taunted you, also. I don't know what came over me. I blame it on the blood moon.)

It's not because he's probably don't want people calling him at home like you said. It's because this is business, then he shouldn't be giving you his home number for a business call.

Him agreeing with your assumption is wrong, which came to your favor for you to get off the hook on this grounds. Good job Monicat. He should have been smarter than that and give you the right answer that I've mentioned here. But he didn't!!! :D

wow. crazy day and it's only 3:35.

in the middle of my craziness, some poor guy calls me to ask me about some warranty coverage on my new phone purchase. i know that a lot of people can get really angry with these folks, so i try to treat them as nice as possible.

this guy seemed unable to catch the hint that i had neither time nor interest in what he was selling. he wasn't overtly rude, but it was (past the) time for the call to end.

so i took the conversation in a new direction.

me: uh, no thanks.

him: well, here's why you want it...

me: well, ok, let's do this: give me your home number and i'll call you later tonight when i have the time to think about it.

him: oh, i can't give out my home number.

me: oh, because you probably don't want people calling you at home, bugging you, right? especially when you're trying to do things that are important to you.

him: exactly!

me: well, neither do i. but thanks for calling, and have a nice day!

i was pretty surprised how easily he walked into that one. : )

hope you guys are having a great monday.

I don't support NASA, therefore I didn't support the eclipse. We all know that NASA scheduled the eclipse. They're tricksy and false.

Thanks. Those are actually my feet/shoes, my mom took the picture. :) I love Converse shoes. The ones in the picture are ones I've had for about 4 years and I'm probably due for another pair, they are very tattered and have holes. That's what makes them awesome, though. :p Where do you work that you get to wear converse??

The lunar eclipse was very cool. It was perfectly clear out, I didn't have to leave my backyard to see it (I live in town, so I was afraid I'd have to drive out of town to see it), and I got to talk to my friend. In hindsight, I should have had the telescope we have ready. We haven't used it in years, but I wasn't about to rummage through the cold, dark garage looking for it. There's 3 more lunar eclipses within the year, so I know I'll have another opportunity!

That kind of stuff fascinates me. It was so weird to think that the Earth's shadow was on the moon. The Earth's shadow. I mean, that's just incredible to me.

I'd love to see a total solar eclipse someday. I've only ever seen a (very) partial one.
ive seen many lunar eclipses and 1 solar. last night however I missed it here... it was snowing.. odd to think about since sunday it was 81

You mean... The Right to Bears with Arms?

I've been waiting on the government to try to say that the right to "bare arms" is only talking about the right to wear sleeveless t-shirts according to new historical documents that were recently discovered. lol

Very cool. How comfortable are Converse shoes? Because, honestly I've never worn a pair. But I do associate the shoes with R.L. Stine's Goosebumps books from the 90's.

Yes. And God created cats to teach us humility.
