If Jesus wasn't always self-explanatory, then are Christians required to be different.(5) Your own signature says the Word is to unfold itself, line by line, here a little and there a little. We speak, and the Holy Spirit unfolds. I would have to write a book if I was to explain everything. But no one is to cast pearls before swine;(1) you explain only to those who ask as Jesus did in the telling of His parables. He said clearly to His disciples when they asked why He didn't speak plainly to the crowds that it was because it was given to them to understand the things of God but wasn't given to others. So, when I share things, (2)I'll make them self-explanatory only when someone asks me to explain or when I feel it's right. As for my communication skills, they are excellent. But your ego is starting to defile this thread.(3) You can ask me to explain things or you can try to appear smart and may end up where most people don't want to end up: making a fool of yourself. I'll protect your dignity unless you want to push it.(4) It depends on how highly you treasure your online or CC reputation. Do you want to be peaceful, or do you want to appear less intelligent than you would like to think you are. Think about it while I think about it.
1. The bible says to spread the gospel, not hide it in "parables". What you said is untrue. There
is a physician in Gilead. There
is balm in Gilead. That was not a parable.
2. If you are going to talk in riddles you have no clue what open forum discussion is about.
3. If you think I am going to ask you to explain anything to me, you have another think coming.
4. I am not here for my reputation. What you think matters not one whit to me. My ego has nothing to do with this talk or with the bible. If I make a "fool of myself" by discussing the bible, that says a lot more about you than it does me.
Your whole demeanor is one of trying to put yourself on a level with Christ. Nowhere in the bible is anyone told to talk in riddles.
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began
Paul cleared up all mystery of the word of God for our edification. You think you have the authority to tell people only what you want them to know about the gospel? That is beyond asinine.
5. "But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that
they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken."
You don't even understand that passage. If that is how you understand the word, you will fall backward, be broken, and taken captive by the enemy. That is a passage meant to warn those that stumble over scripture. Line upon line is how children learn. If you aren't ready for strong meat, don't try to chew it. It will give you indigestion.
If you are going to talk bible, you better get it right.
