Happy Easter! I hope you all have a great day. It's lovely outside. Thank you God for another beautiful day and another day in your creation. Amen.

It's really hard to gather the motivation to do some spring cleaning in my closet when it's such a beautiful day outside. I'm terrible at holding up a shirt and thinking, "Aw, I like this. I'll wear it someday." I guess if I say that and haven't actually worn it in forever, I might as well just get rid of it. I want to be more simple with the things that I have. I'll likely be moving within a year or two, and I don't want a million things to pack.

My friend and I are going to take a road trip at the end of June for our vacation. I'm looking forward to it. This will be the first paid vacation I've ever had. Actually, this is my first "official" vacation since 2012. I'm definitely looking forward to the break. The three places that we are going are areas I've considered moving to, so maybe it will give me some clarity there, as well. I also know people at each place, so we won't have to pay for lodging at all. :) We might get each host a gift or something, if they'll accept.

Ever have friends who you know you've told thing's to,and then they ask you about it,as if they were never or barely informed?
Just had a friend on fb message me & ask how I was doing...then asks:"So,you got divorced recently, right?" -and you know full well that you've told them this, like back when it happened. I said to her,:"Yeah,it's goin on 2 1/2 yrs nearly now...why?" She's like,"Oh,I dunno..I think I vaguely remember you mentioning something once about a divorce...so do you hate women now or what, lol?"

I kinda felt like saying:"Yes,I hate women that I have to repeat myself to over & over again!" (I didn't though)
I do sometimes wonder how it is people don't retain much of the thing's you share with them...I know people have busy lives, but divorce is kinda a big deal. I would remember if one of my friends told me they got or were getting a divorce.

I think I can count on one hand the number of people in my life that actually listen to me when I talk with them. lol
** countdown until someone tells me that Jesus is always there to listen to me. in 3....2....1 ;)
I talk to Him 24/7..I think He deserves a break once & a while. :p

Jesus is more than a metaphor for things in our life we need to resurrect. :|
I'm both pleased and annoyed I make this observation.
Pleased that I will no longer relegate Jesus and the resurrection to being a metaphor for temporary Earthly gain.
Annoyed because I think I over think everything like this that I hear.

So this is how my Easter played out:

So I woke up around 12 in the afternoon, missed church, and decided it was time to make breakfast and do a devotional.

So as I got done scrambling my eggs and put in the microwave for about 30 seconds, the house began to have a plastic smell to it. So I took out the egg and threw it away.
Afterwards I drank a lot of coffee and thought to myself 'perhaps I should go for a nice walk and get some exercise! It seems like a wonderful day for that.'
So into my car I went, and I drove to the nearest forest preserve from my house.

As I got out of the car I thought, 'ah what a wonderful day this is going to be an amazing adventure,' with my ipod headphones blaring in my ears as I adventured on forward through the wilderness.
These were the things I saw:
5 Skateboarders
12 Squirrels
5 Cardinals
1 Tree stump that was shaped like a butt
5 Bridges I walked over
and 14 Miles I walked in all.

These were my thoughts:
I do not want to study human services anymore.
I want to either go into some sort of ministry or the army/navy.

I am so confused..hahaha.

So this summer my goal is to lose 20 pounds and get really buff.
Whooooo knows what the future holds!

14 miles?!! If you can walk that far you're probably already in very good shape. I get tired just driving 14 miles. :(

I've been hearing, "God's only got your best interests at heart" a lot, lately. Not really directed at me, just in general. And I don't believe it. God does not owe us any happiness, we are not guaranteed the things we want or the "best path for us", not in the sense we typically think of, at least. I believe He does all things for His glory and our spiritual well-being.
