Revelation 14:12-13, "In this manner are the saints purified--by keeping the Laws of Yahweh, (in conformity) with the faith, in Yahshua Messiah. And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"

Absolutely not. men will be judged by their faith in Christ and will be rewarded according to the works that they have allowed the Holy Spirit to do through them.

Thank you for your reply to this topic, to me this is very interesting topic.

So what do you say the meaning of all the quoted threads from the original post of this thread are? And what about the verse from Yaaqob (James) the Messiah's brother who said faith without works is dead?

Because my brother, you cannot have works without faith. As stated, works are the result of faith. That's why James could state "i will show my faith by my works". When we have faith in the work of the cross that enables the Holy Spirit to work in us and through us. It is by my Spirit saith the Lord.

Again the works are the fruit of faith in the work of the cross.

I agree a true believer will also be a true follower.

Only those resurrected by Christ will be judged by works at the bema seat judgment, they will be given reward (gold silver precious stone, wood hay straw)

The unbeliever will be judge after they are delivered to Christ. At the great white throne, and will recieve no reward. only eternal damnation

2 Corinthians 5:10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, that each one may receive his reward according to what he has done in the body, whether righteous or evil.”

Colossians 3:24-25, “Knowing that from Yahweh you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve Yahshua the Messiah. But he who does wrong will receive the reward for the wrong he has done, and there is no respect of persons.”

1 Kepha (Peter) 1:17-18, “And if you call on the Father, Who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your sojourning here in reverence. Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, such as silver or gold, from your idolatrous way of life handed down to you by tradition from your fathers.”

However, I must say this and many folks don't like it. Our faith must stay focused on the cross and not our works. If we take our faith off the cross and place it in our work, then we fail. The Holy Spirit only works through the parameters of the cross. We are the branch and He is the vine. The branch cannot produce fruit unless it is attached to the vine and any branch that does not produce fruit is pruned and cast into the fire.

We cannot rely on are own strength and intellect, we must rely on the cross.

Replace "the cross" with Yahweh, Yahshua and the mercy set forth and I agree, the idea is solid I just dont like putting my faith in a piece of wood but rather the blood of Messiah.

However many take this and turn it into a "im not responsible for anything I do and should never feel bad for my sins" and "I dont have to follow Yahweh's Law" both error.

I think there is a verse that perfectly shows the correct nature of faith in the Messiah and obedience to yahweh's Instructions:

Revelation 14:12, "In this manner are the saints purified--by keeping the Laws of Yahweh, (in conformity) with the faith, in Yahshua Messiah."

My brother, when I say the cross, I am not talking about a wooden beam. But, rather the work that was done on it and the blood that was shed. I meant you can wear a cross around your neck and it means nothing. When I say the cross, it's the lamb that God provided for Abraham. It's the redeemer that Job said I know He liveth. It's the act that made an open show of satan and his minions. It's the act that bruised the head of the snake. That is the cross.

Right on, that work Messiah did set forth by Yahweh is amazing, im continually in awe when I actually think about it, Messiah was so strong and faithful.

(Rom 2:12 KJV) and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

(James 2:12 KJV) So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words the Bible, hath one that judgeth him: the word-the Bible that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil ( Holy Spirit) with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We are rewarded according to the work that we allow the Holy Spirit to do in us and through us. Judgement is for the sinners. That would be the great white throne judgement.

Mattithyah 16:27, “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His Malakim; and then He will reward every man according to his works.”

Yahchanan (John) 5:28-30, “Do not be astonished at this-for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice, and will come forth. Those who have practiced righteousness will be resurrected in order to live; and those who have practiced wickedness will be resurrected in order to be damned."

Acts 17:30-31, “In the past Yahweh winked at such ignorance, but now He commands all men everywhere to repent! For He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness, by a Man whom He has ordained; and He has given evidence to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”

Romans 2:4-11, “Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, forbearance, and longsuffering; not realizing that Yahweh’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? But according to your stubborn and impenitent mind you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of Yahweh’s wrath, when the righteous judgment of Yahweh will be revealed; when He will reward each one according to his works: to the ones on the one hand, who, by patient persistence in doing righteousness, seek for glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life. But to the ones on the other hand, who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, He will give indignation and wrath.” Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man who does evil: to the Yahdai(Jew) first, and also to the Greek (Gentile) But glory, honor, and peace to every man who works righteousness: to the Yahdai first, and also to the Greek. For there is no respect of persons with Yahweh.”

And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and Death and Sheol delivered up the dead which were in them. And they were judged, every man, according to their works.”

Revelation 22:12, “And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be.”

Works are as rags, for none attain the glory of God, while in the flesh. However, those in Christ, will never perish. It is by grace we are saved, not by works, for we could never be saved by works. It is in the millennium we will be saved by works and only then. That is, those who did not overcome.

When did I ever say works save?

You replied with that off of a list of "NT" Scripture?

Without the mercy of Yahweh none would have any hope, yet this is not to say man may just do as he pleases and still enter in.

However, I must say this and many folks don't like it. Our faith must stay focused on the cross and not our works. If we take our faith off the cross and place it in our work, then we fail. The Holy Spirit only works through the parameters of the cross. We are the branch and He is the vine. We cannot rely on are own strength and intellect, we must rely on the cross.
This is an example of good thinking, but incomplete thinking. God is precise, half truths just don't count with the Lord.

You know that you are not God enough to make it without Christ. Good. Works won't save you.

Now you go to the cross. Christ paid for your sins, you couldn't do it so you rely on Christ. To do that you repent. You put on Christ's ways. You live through Christ. It is a spiritual happening, not legalistic.

The results of this are deeds. Those are the deed we will be judged on. You can't say to other posters "you liar". You will be judged. You can't say to your parents "I disown you". You can't say to your sister in Christ "I hate you". When you take those things to Christ, it has to be done with truth and in spirit. You have to repent.

What we "do" or our "works" does not determine our salvation, our position before God, but what we "do" or our "works" displays that what we have received is genuine. Our "works" is the evidence that Christ is in us, for if He wasn't my "works" no matter how good would fall to the ground.

Thus we have the seal of God on our foreheads (what we believe, world view) and on our hands (what we "do", which demonstrates what we believe).

each new morning when I arise, I just can't wait for that
still-small-Voice to tell me how I may serve and obey
my Master's wishes.

what will You have me do this day my Lord?
must I learn more -
patience,
contentment,
love,
joy,
peace,
tolerance,
virtue,
must I leave my comfort-zone and step into
that sometimes uncomfortable will of God?

example:

a few years back, we owed the 'irs' some 'back-taxes'.
I thought to myself, 'i'll just mail it in', no sweat.
but then,
my chain was jerked pretty hard, from 'up-above',
and these were my instructions;
(go in person to the 'irs' office and proclaim,
'I AM A MAN OF GOD, AND I HAVE COME TO RENDER UNTO CEASAR'....)
needless to say, there was 'total silence' from every corner in that office
and a palpable discomfort was ALL pervading.
may I interject here, that ('I am a naturally soft-spoken and quiet man'
and this went totally against my nature.)

by the way, I was perceptive enough to read the minds of all
those sitting around and watching this spectacle.
I became a 'mind-reader' instantly, they were all thinking in unison,
((nut-case - nut case- nut case))!!!

this is the part that is surprising to some, but there are some
Christians here that will recognize the depths and lengths that
we are required to go through to prove our loyalty.

do you really think that Isaiah liked going around naked and barefoot?
I am so happy that my Lord didn't make me go there in my 'birthday-suit'!!!
