Okay, I've been on CC since about '12 but only starting participating early this year or late last year. I have been incredibly affected by many of the things I've read on the forums and heard in the chat rooms. I know some people who would like to let off a rant but haven't done it yet. I'm going to do mine.
Here are some of the things that have grated (like really grated) on my nerves here:
1. Presumption. People don't ask questions anymore; they don't get to know you or where you're coming from. It's like Democrats vs. Republicans; if someone disagrees with you, you're automatically on the other side. Instead of starting a conversation and getting to know what you're saying, they just say you're wrong. How can people not fight and be defensive when told they're wrong or when you're approached as if you're wrong.
2. Fake Intelligence. This sort of fits with the above. People learn a few things and then think it's everything. The most embarrassing thing for me is to see someone who thinks they have it all right (pastor, prophet, angel from Heaven, Bible student, professor, it doesn't matter to me) but who has it all wrong or someone who thinks they're intelligent but have only gathered knowledge that's entirely and totally useless. I've never been impressed by one thing on earth or beyond except a person or people who GENUINELY want to live for God. It's aggravating to watch some people trying to appear smart; who is impressed by dead religion and bone dry knowledge? Really. Get real. Find something fun to do with your time. Please.
3. Lack of Teachability. We're supposed to learn from each other; no one can have all the knowledge and experience everyone needs. Some people don't want to learn; they can't change and won't change. They feel less than if they don't know more than.
4. Lack of Brain Sense. Let's face it; our satan-led media and our Christianity have made many of us as dull as butter knives. Yes, christianity has been used to subjugate (deceive, dumb down) entire cultures and people groups; some satanists right now specifically use it to dumb down Christians; and some homeless shelters still are purposely using it like brainwashing to dumb down and make stupid the homeless in order to, among other things, keep them homeless. Some people cannot grasp basic or self-explanatory things. (Before we think none of this is true, Paul addresses this same issue of immaturity several times.) Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself; then someone responds and it's the person who doesn't get one bit what I'm trying to convey.
5. Lack of Unity. There seems to be, when discussing the Bible in the rooms or forums, a floating lack of unity. People want to compare and contrast beliefs instead of working to get along. We're such an isolated society that people are afraid to be open and be known, therefore (and don't forget pride), people often do more to push people away than to befriend and walk beside them. Seems to have its pros... but how's it working.
Anyone ever get tired of talking and fighting and striving? Pride comes free, and moronism is its topping. What about doing something different. Where are the REAL interesting people in this world.
