Hey there everybody, I was wondering if there were any other bronies here on Christian Chat. Anyone?

(For those who don't know, a brony is an adult fan of the television show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". Yes, I know it's strange and unusual, but it's harmless fun, and there are quite a few out on the internet)

Finally, I have the chance to interrogate one of you. I have many questions, do you watch the show ironically? What is the appeal? Why/how did you get into this in the first place? And finally, do you really believe that friendship is a result of magic?
Sidenote, welcome to the site!

Its a good show. It has a good plot and good characters. Its well written and brings positive moral messages for kids. Its like any other good animated show. I like many animated shows. This is just one of them. That is why I watch it. There is nothing more to say.

I watch it because it's just plain, unbridled fun. Believable characters, good writing, catchy musical scores, and good old fashioned Christian values. It's very uplifting and innocent, and it provides a nice contrast to much of society's immoral behavior.

In addition to the show itself, there is a wonderful and talented fan community of artists, musicians, Fanfiction authors, etc. unfortunately, it can be pretty hard to find other Christians I in the fandom. It seems like most people you meet on the internet are non religious or just downright hostile to Christians.

I got into the when a friend at school introduced me to it. I was EXTREMELY skeptical at first, but now I sincerely like it. It's probably my favorite show.

Thanks for the welcome by the way!

So you're an adult? :p

Obviously not, because what adult would like a show made for kids?

I watched the first episode out of curiousity. It was well done but not really my cup of tea.

An adult with the heart and imagination of a child.
That's not normal, but hf ya'll!

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

Really? It seems every Brony makes their fandom known to everyone around them. Whether it's MLP:FiM avatars or FaceBook content or signatures or fan art or even real-life discussions, they don't exactly make themselves scarce.

I know bro, no need to over-compensate, I'm just messin' with ya. ;)

So what does platonic love mean anyway, if Plato was a greek? :p

I know, I know. It's all good.

Platonic Love means Plato just loved himself and no other. Poor, lonely Greek philosopher. :p

Nah, that's not what it means:
platonic love is chaste and non-sexual love...
so basically it's what Plato invented so he didn't have to come home to the missus.

An adult with the heart and imagination of a child.
what a magical response, my dear chap. if only we could all imagine with the youthful heart of a child like that of a fresh spring morning after the rainbow kisses the air, then we can all live happily ever after and there would be world peace instead of this constant attack on our civil liberties and lack of empathy in this world that brings suspicion regarding the laity while our second amendment rights are constantly being eroded away and wars like the second war with Iraq that was going to be called Operation Iraqi Liberation and was only a power grab for a resource that clearly pollutes our precious environment and undermines the health of human society so that the sky one day will really rain skittles but not the good kind seen on those commercials and perhaps in some cartoons like this precious work of art that is known as My Little Pony that I plan on seeing once I get around to it after my crusade on Harry Potter because media outlets like this are swiftly eroding our children's moral foundations and should be banned at all costs

i forget my original point

I believe that there is nothing wrong in enjoying childlike innocence, faith, and imagination. There is a difference between being childlike and just be childish.

I most likely will have a pony related avatar; I'm obsessively camera shy.
