Saul or Paul's real name was Cephas, an Aramaic name.
You have free will, call Him what you choose, what you call Him is not my choice.
SO when the Creator says, "I am Yahweh, that is MY NAME" that is not His name? And Mosheh did not give Yahweh that Name, Yahweh told it to Mosheh:
Exodus 3:14-15, "Then Yahweh said to Mosheh: I am Who I am. And He said: This is what you are to say to the children of Israyl; the I am has sent me to you. Yahweh also said to Mosheh: This also shall you say to the children of Israyl; YAHWEH, the Heavenly Father of your fathers, the Mighty One of Abraham, the Mighty One of Isaac, and the Mighty One of Yaaqob, has sent me to you. THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER-- and this is MY MEMORIAL: the Name by which I am to be remembered by, from generation to generation, for all generations."
Isayah 42:8, "I am Yahweh, that is MY NAME; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."
There are over 1,000 time the Creator says His Name is YHWH...
Saul or Paul's real name was Cephas, an Aramaic name.
What other name would God give him? His aramic name? His engish name? His roman name? His egyptian name?
He was speaking to moses. Not to you or I.
And why do you ignore what John said?
Revelation 19:12
[SUP]12 [/SUP]His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Thats his real name, No one knows it!
If you check the word in your bible that is translated Jesus in a concordance, you will find that it means this: 'Yehovah is salvation'. See this link for confirmation of this: Greek Lexicon :: G2424 (KJV)
Although it's a Greek word, the word translated Jesus in Matthew 1.21 is of Hebrew origin, as you'll see if you go to the link I just posted. As I already said, it means 'Yehovah is salvation'. Names are important. Yehovah is salvation said this to Our Father in heaven: '
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. (John 17.6). If He manifested he Father's name to His disciples, it must have been important and we know that The Father's name will be glorified in all the earth since He said it would be. The name of the Son of God actually contains he name Of The Father: The Name of The Father is Yehovah and he Name of The Son is 'Yehovah is salvation'. That's no coincidence.
The second thought I had was that many say Hallelujah. Now I don't know if you know what that means, but some erroneously translate it as 'praise he lord', when in fact it means 'Yah is salvation' or better still 'Ye is salvation', since Yah or Ye is a shortened from of Yehovah: the Name Of The Father. Is Ye a Hebrew word? The answer is yes it is. It means 'will be'. 'Ho' is a Hebrew word meaning 'is' and 'vah' is a Hebrew word meaning 'was', so this tells us what The name Yehovah means.
How important is this. Well I must say I have certainly felt like saying HalleluYe more than once when I have felt blessed and I believe this is for a good reason.
Again that is an absurd claim. If they would be offended that He was a Jew, then they would be offended at all Christianity. Skinheads and NAZI's are the only one who may be offended that Jesus was a Jew. All others do not care. You are creating a tidal wave in a tea cup by this assertion.
Another Name may be revealed or it may never be revealed. Also this is talking about the Messiah
Why do you ignore 1,000 of Scriptures that say the name YHWH?
Dude, I do not speak hebrew. Who said I was ignoring it? If I spoke hebrew I would call him by his hebrew name, i do not.
Why do yuo offend me by talking to me in my language, but using the name given to him by the hebrew people??
WHAT?
Kepha/Cephas is "Peters" name.
He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas” (which means Peter). John 1;42
Yes, it is in the bible, you did not know this?
Do some study on it. This was Paul's real name.
Yeremyah 16:19-21, "O Yahweh, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles will come to You from the ends of the earth, and will say: Surely our fathers have inherited nothing but lies and vanity of no use at all! Do men make gods for themselves? Yes, but they are powerless! Therefore behold, I will make them to know--this time I will teach them My power and might; and they will know that My Name is Yahweh!"
Malakyah 1:11, "For from the rising of the sun, to the going down of the same, My Name will be great among the Gentiles. In every place incense will be offered to My Name, with a pure offering; for My Name will be great among the Gentiles, says Yahweh of hosts."
cephas means peter, or the rock bro..
Right after I posted that, I corrected it. Go back to that post and see, but thankx. That was peter. not paul..lol

PS. People in Judea in Jesus time spoke Greek. The common people also spoke Aramaic. Hebrew was reserved for the synagogues, and most people didn't understand a word,
You do realize Yahweh is the sacred tetragram from Exodus 3:14, and it means "I AM" in English?
"God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14.
"וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽהְיֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר כֹּ֤ה תֹאמַר֙ לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃" Exodus 3:14 Hebrew
In the New Testament, in John, Jesus says his name is "I am" 8 times. For example:
"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
"Πάλιν οὖν αὐτοῖς ἐλάλησεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων· Ἐγώ εἰμι τὸ φῶς τοῦ κόσμου· ὁ ἀκολουθῶν ἐμοὶ οὐ μὴ περιπατήσῃ ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ, ἀλλ’ ἕξει τὸ φῶς τῆς ζωῆς." John 8:12 Greek
If one looks in the Septuagint, in Exodus 3:14 one finds that the Hebrew scholars have translated YHWH to Ἐγώ εἰμι
"3:14 και ειπεν ο θεος προς μωυσην εγω ειμι ο ων και ειπεν ουτως ερεις τοις υιοις ισραηλ ο ων απεσταλκεν με προς υμας"
Thus it is erroneous to think that the NAME of God is Yahweh. In fact, his name is "I AM" in English, and that is who Jesus called himself, which caused the Jews to get very upset, because they knew he was calling himself "I AM" or YHWH.
This whole debate is really about nothing. Jesus is the Great "I AM," and his name in Greek means "salvation or deliverance." Joshua also means that, because the vowels were not written in the text until the Masoretes put them in over three centuries from the 7th to 10th centuries AD. Hence the simple differences in pronunciation.
Worship God in your heart language! Jesus is English and my heart language. That language is what I have memorized the Bible in, and God speaks to me in English, even though I read the Bible in French, German, Spanish and Hebrew and Greek.
Stop insisting that God has only one name in one language. He is "I AM" whatever language you translate it to!
You have clearly demonstrated how hardened your heart is against Christ. You are bordering on blasphemy of the Holy Ghost, and you don't even realize it, do you? In Acts 13:9, Paul no longer went by the name Saul. He was now saved, filled by the Spirit of God and his name from that point on was Paul. The only times the name Saul is used after that verse is when he relates his conversion.Where in the Scriptures is Shaul's name changed to Paul?
I know Shimon's name is changed to Kepha, but where is Shaul's change?
