The way I read it is that Light has come into the world to save but because their deeds were evil they refused the Light, they loved darkness instead...that is their condemnation.

yes indeed it also speaks of the works of producing fruit for those that believe , in that is the Lord"s rest that we should lay aside the corruptible and live in the incoruptible (the spirit )
 
The light is JESUS Christ the light is truth in which there is no sin Jesus conceived through the Holy Ghost the very image of the Eternal
Father beggotten meaning every knowledge every attribute the son has also the Father and the Son are one the Son in subjection and the Father rejoices therefore he who honours the Son honours the Father for they are one and the son receives no glory of His own but gives glory in all obedience to the Father
 
But many on this site are groping around in darkness. Refusing the light hiding behind a screen of ignorance not willing to allow the Spirit to teach. Just look at some of the though process on basic beliefs and you'll see the distance from the the Spirit of the word

Its jnteresting thay that just describes a carnal minded man without the spirit or being born of the sporit seing the cup allways empty
 
Not many would take a observance to living a clean life to looking to edifying things instead look to argue about correct christian conduct for the goal is sowing to the spirit to awaken to everlasting eternity with the Lord
 
Now to those teaching slothfulness an unfruitfull gospel is like unto a man that beholdeth a emty covert with no food of any kind finding himself dead of starvation because He had no substance
