Does anyone know of a good book and or speaker on common law? I have been loving this topic and was wanting to pursue this further but I am lost to where my first step should be.

Edit I also want to check out a blacks law dictionary but I have no clue where to find one because my public library does not carry one.

Thank you, so I have a question regarding my drivers license... When you obtain a drivers license you admit to being a citizen of the United States. Now, no one had ever explained to me that obtaining a citizenship would over-ride my sovereignty through being a people. How do I go about showing the contract is void due to them taking away my sovereignty by not explaining to me the legal bearings of the contract?

I would also like to do this through my birth certificate and social security number as well. And restore my God given and preamble stated right of being a people of the United States. Since I have been unlawfully made a person of the United States, and thus I am no longer legally a people.
 
eh technically if you are born in the US you are a US citizen. So the driver's license thing had no standing on that since you already were one I'm assuming.

No, I am one of the People of the United States, not a citizen (as declared in the preamble)... A citizen is subject to the Government, where as government is subject to a people.

I am trying to set myself up to lawfully bring the Government to trail because they did not bring me to notice; of the legal bindings set upon me for accepting a drivers license. And I do not wish to be bound under my government that I am lawfully sovereign of.


With all this jargon aside, what is it called when a contract is void because they fail to disclose all information to the people. Because if they would have that people would not have signed the contract.

Edit I understand I am a citizen by slang english, but by legal english I am lawfully a people and do not wish to be bondaged into a citizenship under authority of the government that I am lawfully sovereign of.
 
While its not a code of laws, if you're interested in American Law Theory, specifically Federalism, I would highly recommend reading the Federalist Papers by John Jay, Alexander Hamilton, and James Madison.

As I understand the Common Law (see a better source than I), it is the composite of judge made law (legal precedent) instead of voted by a legislature. As to finding books, many are available on line for free reading, if classics. Amazon is also a good source with reviews. Your library can get you book by inter-library loan also.

What leads you to think that "people" and "citizen" are mutually exclusive terms?

I suggest mediation on Romans 13. Submitting to the powers that be is a matter of obeying the Lord because we love Him.

Christian morality is a matter first of trusting Christ and getting a new birth so that one has the indwelling Holy Spirit who produces fruit in our lives, the first of which is love. The two great over-riding principles are 1) Love God, 2) Love neighbor as self. If the morality has nothing to do with those two principles, it seems to me to be religious tiddlywinks.

(Example = David eating forbidden show-bread.)

The separation and distinction about person and people comes from black's law dictionary, the preamble, and other legal references...

Also what I am referring to is not illegal. I am following the Constitution, and all laws in the United States.

AMENDMENT XIV
Section 1. "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."
Section 5. "The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article."
This states that if you are a citizen you are a subject to the state in which you reside.

Where as a court ruling states.
"The people of this State, as the successors of its former sovereign, are entitled to all the rights which formerly belonged to the King by his prerogative. Through the medium of their Legislature they may exercise all the powers which previous to the Revolution could have been exercised either by the King alone, or by him in conjunction with his Parliament; subject only to those restrictions which have been imposed by the Constitution of this State or of the U.S."


Lansing v. Smith, 21 D. 89., 4 Wendel 9 (1829) (New York)



So a people is subject to the constitution and common law.
A citizen is subject to the jurisdiction of the state and must abide by all it's statutes.


This is why I wish to bring the Govt. to court for unlawfully taking away my status as a people and putting me into bondage of a citizen.

Let me put it this way...

A man came in my house dressed as a Police Man, he then proceeded to explain to me that if I sign this piece of paper in his hands the govt. will give me $5,000 and that they have been looking for me for a while because of the severity.

Overjoyed I signed the paper and at that point he explains that my family and I would have to go outside to receive my payment. Once outside he hands us $5,000 in cash and then tells us we have 5 minutes to vacate the premises because we are trespassing on his home...




Now he did say if I signed the piece of paper I would be given $5,000 which he did give me... But what he failed to tell me is I would be selling my $300,000 house to him. But is that legal?

In the same case the Govt. tells me that when I am 16 years of age I can obtain a drivers license that will allow me to drive a vehicle. They do not tell me that I can already LAWFULLY travel on common roads without a license. And by obtaining a drivers license I am changing my status from a People of the United States to a Citizen so they gain full authority over my being.

Driver-One employed in conducting a coach, carriage, wagon, or other vehicle,with horses, mules, or other animals, or a bicycle, tricycle, or motor car, though not a street railroad car.
license-governmental permission to perform a particular act , conduct a particular business or occupation, operate machinery or vehicles after proving ability to do so safely or use property for a certain purpose.




So if I am employed where is my pay? And if I am not employed why would I need government permission?



Do you see why I want to bring this too court?
