When God tells you to do something, and you do it, you have not earned anything.

Then lets not bother doing the works of God to earn rewards. Because we are not earning anything (rolls eyes) Wow.

Wrong, it is by the blood of the lamb that sins are forgiven, Baptism is an outward show of inner change. The only thing that Jesus commanded is that we love one another or have we wiped out the OT. Job said I know my baptism awaits or did he say I know my redeemer lives. Is baptism your redeemer?
Can you show a single passage of Scripture that states this, "Baptism is an outward show of inner change"?

If you've wiped out the OT then you have no hope.

If I understand correctly, what you believe is:

1.If one have a faith in God and not baptize yet, he is not save
2. God only forgive a person in the baptism ritual.
So baptism ritual is the key for salvation.

Is this your believe brother?
That's the way God has given to enter into the covenant. Now, God can save whoever He wants to save. However, He has said that he will save the one who believes and is baptized. Can God save someone who has not been baptized, sure He can. However, He has not promised to. So, when you guys say that baptism isn't necessary you're preaching something that the God did not say.

I am amazed at how flippantly some treat the word of God. It is wise to make sure that one is correct before claiming so, because if not one is teaching a false doctrine.

Peter DID NOT say baptism saves, He said it is a figure, A symbol of salvation.
Peter knew that baptism DOESN'T save, He knew from his personal experience, he was baptised, but he wasn't saved.

Peter told the people in Acts 2: 38, To repent for the remission of sins, Not be baptised for the remission of sns.

The Bible and the original Greek texts, prove that water baptism doesn't save.

I see that you put more faith in what Ignatius said, Than what God has said.
You might want to reread what Peter said because he didn't say baptism was a symbol. You also might want to learn Greek because it's clear in the Greek what Peter and Paul said. And yes, I'll take the word of Ignatius, a disciple of the apostle John over your word. I guess you didn't notice that Ignatius was quoting the apostle Paul. Since you reject Ignatius' quote of the apostle Paul I must conclude that you reject the words of the apostle Paul, would that be correct?

No straw man argument here. Do you deny that you teach salvation is the result of water baptism and other works?

I believe that we are saved by grace through faith and not by works (Ephesians 2:8,9). Faith in Christ as the all sufficient means of our salvation. Faith in Christ and water baptism is not faith in Christ. Faith in Christ and works is not faith in Christ.
Well Dan, maybe we can pick up where we left off. If as you say one is saved by faith alone, how does one know they are saved?

Baptism is how I entered into the covenant, how if became, "in Christ".
now one comes to the Father accept by Me. I am the way the truth and the life. Baptism only affirms your faith in the work of the cross and by no means provides salvation. The new covenant is brought about by the blood of the lamb and that is Jesus and Him crucified and nothing else.

anything and I mean anything that takes you focus off the work of Christ is demonic and self righteous.

Because you can't stand sin anymore, since the Holy Spirit dwells in you once you are saved... He convicts you, and you have a heart for Jesus, you turn your life around and want to live out the teachings of your Savior !! You have the strong desire to become Christlike...it's a life process though...but even people around you should notice you have changed ! When you are saved, you feel that transformation inside of you ! You are definitely no longer the same !

The New covenant is brought about by the blood of Christ. Let me ask you, how does one enter the New Covenant?

[SUP]27[/SUP] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
[SUP]28[/SUP] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
[SUP]29[/SUP] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise
(Gal 3:27-29 KJV)

It is definitely not by works, It is by the work of the cross. When faith is placed in the cross, then the Holy Spirit works in you and through you and not that of your own. Least any man should boast. It's not about look what I did, it's about look what He did. What did He do, first He died and shed His blood for me, then He broke the power of sin over me, That sin should not reign, Then He set me apart and took me deeper into His word. As Paul say's that I may know Him and the more you know Him the more you find how sinful you really are and thank God for the Holy Spirit that cleans us and teaches us that as we grow we become less sinful, because the cross has broken the Power ( sin nature) of sin.

Where does Scripture say to place your faith in the cross?

Really ?? Did you understand what I wrote ?? I am French but I am sure I wrote english...lol

Salvation is like a transformation ! When you are saved THROUGH FAITH, there should be an outward evidence of it !! You are not saved by your works !!

Check Matthew 7:20 "Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."
and James 2:14-26 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[a]?21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together,and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[b] and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Do not get confused !!!

Gal 6

13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Eph 2

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

Phil 2

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name

Col. 1

19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

Col 2

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Hebrews 12

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

and many more.
