LOL that's what I thought but if you watch the link I posted, they mark the earthquakes that have happened just this year alone and a lot of them outline the major fault borders.

The month that shook the world: Incredible time-lapse reveals planet as it was rocked by record-breaking earthquakes in April | Mail Online

Thought this belonged here. It's a great article about the earthquakes just this year alone. As the song says, "I'm all shook up." What do you think is going on or what will happen? Volcano going to form? I noticed a lot of the earthquakes have gotten more intense along only the Pacific Ocean areas (especially the Ring of fire made famous for earthquakes and volcanoes which have gotten more intense over the past year) and sparingly the Atlantic...maybe the Pacific fault is gonna be covered by the Asian and North American fault eventually. I don't know really. It's just fun to think about.

Do not be alarmed. These things must need be. We will face earthquakes and floods and whatever else. These things have to happen and more will happen in coming days. God is not a liar, nor is Christ, These things will happen but not because of what you may think is going to happen, but rather what is coming to pass as to prophecy. Easy. Things will not happen to those who are solid in Christ. I have no fear, but watch as we are commanded, watchmen, watch.

You seem like an intelligent person.
What is your goal of coming on a Christian site, commenting on posts such as this?
To challenge Scripture? To challenge Christians or Christianity in general?
Or are you yourself on the fence with religion and looking to hear both sides of the story?
I'm genuinely interested in what drives non-believers to the site.

Is the earth still shifting?

Personally, I never trust a planet that looks shifty.

Summary. I need some idea of what I'm in for if I'm going to dedicate 45mins to watching something.

I wouldn't waste my time since Edward Cayce was a supposed psychic who also claimed the ability to engage in astral projection and the ability to see "auras". In other words anything coming from him is automatically tainted as coming from the pit of hell IMO since all the above is rooted in Eastern mysticism.

Thanks, Once! A voice of reason. I won't bother with the video then. Thanks again. :)

Back to the OP, I've heard some conspiracy theorists say that pacific ocean warming (a la el nino) is from undersea volcanic heating. The experts are now predicting another el nino, on the heels of all these earthquakes.

They are expecting another big one in Haiti soon. One of the missionaries from church we have down there has been feeling rattles near her side of the island and they keep getting worse. The worst/best part is I have a sister there and wanting to stay permanently.

Edgar Casey has predicted before he had died in 1945 that some part of the United State is going to be underwater, and well lately there has been sink holes popping up everywhere, especially the ones that are in Florida and which Casey predicted that it will soon be gone. I guess that fracking that's going on around the coastal areas is letting water come in into underground caverns and which soften the ground and making the ground unstable. But everybody need money to survive and fracking is creating a lot of jobs for people and if their home has sunk, at least they'll have money to move around where the ground is not sinking.

there have always been sinkholes in florida... for example this one is so ancient that they find the bones of extinct animals in it... Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and why are you even paying attention to edgar cayce? he was a spiritist...a medium...a diviner...all condemned by God in the bible...

Edgar Cayce was a strong man of God; with that gift that he had, he could have had been a rich man, but he had believe that this gift shouldn't be sold because it was from God and should be put for good use. He did accepted donations, but very few donated to him, but it was just enough to get by in life. If you were rich or poor, he would still help them. But he had stopped using this gift for people that wanted for help them to gain riches. But we have our modern day preachers that we listen to that does the opposite from what he had did, but we speak very highly of them. I guess it is in our heart to not accept a person that doesn't strive for the riches that we desires. He he was still living in our present time, we probably beheaded him like they had done to John.

Sinkholes are appearing almost everywhere; even in the north part of this country, and now they have another one in some other country as well.

Was Edgar Cayce a Christian?
Individuals who become interested in the work of Edgar Cayce and the organization he created, the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc (A.R.E.), are sometimes confronted by friends and family members who wonder if Edgar Cayce was a Christian, or perhaps whether A.R.E. is some kind of a religious organization. Any of Edgar Cayce’s biographies will confirm his strong lifelong Christian faith as well as his love for Jesus. Edgar Cayce taught Sunday school most of his life and was an elder in his church. The A.R.E. is a non-profit research and education organization whose primary purpose is to disseminate the information contained in Cayce’s psychic insights. The A.R.E. is not a religious movement and is, in fact, made up of individuals from every religion and walk of life. Was Edgar Cayce a Christian?

The tectonic plates are perpetually in motion. They never stopped moving.

that speed of movement would be pretty much impossible for the planet to sustain...

The flood didn't occur, to begin with. Flood geology is universally rejected by major geological institutes and national science adademies throughout the world, and for a vast number of reasons. Genesis should be taken allegorically, not literally.

Question: Why would any Christian want to take man’s fallible dating methods from 'major geological institutes and national science adademies throughout the world' and use them to impose an idea on the infallible Word of God? Christians who accept billions of years are in essence saying that man’s word is infallible, but God’s Word is fallible! Many, but not all Christians, take man's word as infallible.

So, the issue is not “young Earth” versus “old Earth,” but this: Can fallible, sinful man be in authority over the Word of God?

A “young-Earth” view admittedly receives the scoffing from a majority of the scientists. But Paul warned us in 1 Corinthians 8:2 (KJV), “And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.” Compared to what God knows, we know “next door to nothing!” This is why we should be so careful to let God speak to us through His Word, and not try to impose our ideas on God’s Word. It’s also interesting to note that this verse is found in the same passage where Paul warns that “knowledge puffeth up.” Academic pride is found throughout our culture.

Therefore, many Christian leaders would rather believe the world’s fallible academics, than the simple clear words of the Bible.

Once you have told people to accept man’s dating methods, and thus should not take the first chapters of Genesis as they are written, you have effectively undermined the Bible.

If the word of God tells us there was a world wide flood then we can believe it.

That's completely ignoring the fact that the "Pishon" river as mentioned isn't clearly geographically referenced in Genesis at all, especially in light of the fact that the Pishon still hasn't been clearly located -- and especially in light of numerous other geographically ascribed riverbeds or other bodies of water in the general area. To assert that an unfalsifiable, vague reference in Genesis that corresponds to a dry riverbed in a roughly similar geographical location is clear evidence of the Genesis account being older than its Mesopotamian predecessors is to ignore the geographical nature of the area and the lack of a consistent, clear frame of reference for the locations of these rivers.

Furthermore, to imply that the absence of the Pishon or the Gihon in Mesopotamian flood mythology is evidence of the relative age of Genesis to said mythology is erroneous -- why, for instance, are the rivers as referenced important in establishing the comparative ages of the myths, to begin with? Why, for instance, is the Epic of Gilgamesh "demonstrably" younger than Genesis solely on account of the apparent absence of an arguably minor body of water that Genesis doesn't even clearly reference?

actually the biblical geography of the pishon river is pretty well established...genesis 2 associates the pishon river with havilah and based on other references there is a general consensus that havilah was the region today known as the hejaz... genesis 2 also mentions the presence in havilah of bdellium plants...which are plentiful in the hejaz... and genesis 2 mentions the presence of gold in havilah...the hejaz is the location of the 'cradle of gold' or mahd adh dhahab...one of the largest gold deposits ever discovered...one that has been mined almost continuously for thousands of years...

so all of the evidence supports identifying havilah with the hejaz...and therefore in the case of the pishon it is safe to conclude that we are dealing with a river stretching from the hejaz in western saudi arabia to the shatt al-arab in southern iraq...

and it just so happens that the wadi al-batin and the wadi al-rummah follow exactly the same route the biblical pishon would have had to follow...so it is reasonable to conclude that this is the ancient river the bible calls the pishon river...

the rivers are important for dating the biblical accounts and the mesopotamian myths because they provide reference points...we know that there was a pishon river before there wasn't a pishon river...so we know that a text that mentions the pishon must have origins dating to the time when the pishon river still existed...and we know that a text that omits the pishon must have origins dating to the time after the pishon river dried up...so it is reasonable to conclude that a text that mentions the pishon is older than a text that includes the pishon...

an analogy would be documents from the early united states...if a document mentions congress meeting in philadelphia then it is resonable to date the document prior to 1800...if a document mentions congress meeting in washington then it is reasonable to date the document after 1800...and it is reasonable to conclude that a document that mentions congress meeting in philadelphia is older than a document that mentions congress meeting in washington...

and it would be -unreasonable- to suggest that a document that mentions congress meeting in philadelphia was copied or adapted from a document that mentions congress meeting in washington...

likewise it makes little sense to suggest that a document such as the bible that mentions the wadi al-batir and wadi al-rummah as an active river is copied from a document such as a mesopotamian epic whose authors were apparently no longer even aware of the existence of this river...such a suggestion would be anachronistic...

finally i should just add that anyone who calls the river in question 'an arguably minor body of water' hasn't bothered to do their homework...the river would have been about 750 miles long...about two thirds of the length of the tigris...and the third longest river in the region...
