There's no scripture that says if you take a vacation you must do it a certain way, on a certain day, or else you have broken all the laws of the land.

The Sabbath is not a day off. It is a command to Rest. And if you are going to observe that law then you must observe them all, exactly how the Levitical Priesthood prescribes.

Until you come to faith in Christ. Then you get a New High Priest and a New Better Way.

Galatians 3:10-12
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

You don't understand Galatians or you don't believe it?

Explain to me how I am cursed for keeping the seventh Commandment.

Which part of the 4th commandment that you don't understand? Or is your definition of vacation associates with entertainment of the world so you've got to separate the vacation provided by God and the vacation provided by yourself?

And if you are going to observe that law then you must observe them all, exactly how the Levitical Priesthood prescribes.
That's how the Pharisees understood. The reason why Yeshua says "the Sabbath is made for man."

Until you come to faith in Christ. Then you get a New High Priest and a New Better Way.
That applies to non-believers. Until then, they are vacationing the same way as they always do. Does it apply to you?

Two witnesses from NT that shows Torah (correction, protection, instruction) is for New Covenant believers whether Jew or Gentile.

Matthew 23 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying
The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3
All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after them.

Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

....The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3
All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after them..

Today we have many who do not obey the law but tell whoever obeys must do this and do that... long lives the scribes and Pharisees!

Galatians 3:2-3
[SUP]2 [/SUP]This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Have you recieved the Spirit? Do you believe in recieving the Spirit?

Galatians 3:10-12

If you go back to observing the Law by your flesh you have fallen from grace. You don't believe in what the Lord Jesus Christ does for us and what He has already accomplished.

Galatians 5:4-5

[SUP] 4 [/SUP]Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Again I ask, how is keeping one of the Commandments, let's say the seventh, a curse?

Today we have many who do not obey the law but tell whoever obeys must do this and do that... long lives the scribes and Pharisees!

So true! amazing really, but I guess no, not in an upside down world..where God's Law is abolished so man made laws can be imposed instead. Glad you pointed it out brother, that the very ones screaming that God's Law is abolished are in fact themselves "control freaks".

This is all a big misunderstanding that only has one solution in order to be cleared up.

I would think that at the very least you would hear Paul. But even that's not the case. If you don't hear Paul then you certainly won't hear me.

God's Law is not abolished. Our working at it by our flesh and misunderstanding is what is abolished. Faith in Christ doesn't abolish the Law. It fulfills it.

No one can cause anyone else to not be under the law. Only The Lord Jesus Christ can cause someone to not be under the law anymore.

Galatians 3:24-25
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

There is a big misunderstanding.

The laws are misunderstood because they are taught by men

Sabbath is in Bible from Genesis to revelation
Sunday is never mentioned as a day blessed or changed or worshipped in all Gods bible or even in the apocrypha.

so
Tell me, Grandpa, WHY do you keep sunday?

God, in the Judgment day could ask you that.
He could say

"Grandpa, why did you keep sunday, and teach other christians to keep sunday?
Don't you know that You are to give a biblical reason for everything you do?
Tell me your reason why you keep sunday?

I also want to know I just cant find it.
If you can show me that the blessing from the Sabbath is Removed
and God told us to change days
and that he blessed sunday instead for the rest day
and that all christians should now worship on that day
I would like to see it

You see, I go by the bible the word of God and I will follow Gods word.

Show me from the word of god where I am wrong?

dont you know that the new testament was changed in 18 places where someone took out (Day 1 of the sabbath week, day two of the Sabbth week, and substituted WEEK?

did you know dozens of times they changed SABBATH DAY REST to just REST?

go look it up

why would they do it?

tell me
I want to know why they are so eager to change the Sabbath after God told us to REMEMBER IT

kind of like the apple at Eden isnt it?

And tell me Grandpa,
Who do you think has the authority to change a Bible doctrine?

If your pastor changed some things around in revelation, would you follow him?
Is he above God?

and also if the POPE changed the day, woudl nyou follow him?
Just speculatin, you see

yes, if the pope admitted that there is no reason to keep sunday except by HIS GODLY above God authority to change it, would you keep it then?>

just wondering...

And I think just about all of us Law/Sabbath keepers would agree with you.

Except we are saying that with those truths you just mentioned, there is room for, and wisdom and blessing in actually doing what God/Jesus said. Just because you physically do something in the Bible, or even in the Law, doesn't automatically put you in some sort of curse whereby you're making light of Jesus' sacrifice.

Once we get saved, God doesn't want us to just sit on our tails and do nothing. He wants us to live it out; to love Him, to love our neighbor.
How do we know how to do physically do it? He/the Holy Spirit tells us what to do.
What does it often entail? Doing the Law.

That's why Jesus told His disciples to do the Law and teach others to do so.

Does anyone still believe in the psalms of David?
does anyone still read them?
Have you ever read psalm 119 in sunday school?

did you feel uncomfortable doing it?

Just asking...

Why cant we all just do what Jesus said to do and remember the Seventh day Sabbath eash week?
What is the problem with obedience?
Even the Jews never did it that is why God destroyed the nation.
Want to try again with our nation and see what happens when they officially pass a sun God false worship day law like Jezebel and Ahab did with Israel? They were sun God sun day worshippers of Baal.

It wont be long, same thing might happen.
God never changes
do the same error and you get the same events...

Is our nation having water problems yet? how about the rest of the world?
let us keep our eyes open.

I hear Paul...

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.

Do you?

But even that's not the case. If you don't hear Paul then you certainly won't hear me.

The schoolmaster that brings us to Christ is not the Ten Commandments...

Heb 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.
Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.
Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year.
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
Heb 10:5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU DID NOT DESIRE, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME.
Heb 10:6 IN BURNT OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES FOR SIN YOU HAD NO PLEASURE.
Heb 10:7 THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME— IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME— TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.' "
Heb 10:8 Previously saying, "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING, BURNT OFFERINGS, AND OFFERINGS FOR SIN YOU DID NOT DESIRE, NOR HAD PLEASURE IN THEM" (which are offered according to the law),
Heb 10:9 then He said, "BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD." He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
Heb 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

it is the Law of Sacrifices.

The schoolmaster that brings us to Christ is not the Ten Commandments...

I disagree heartily, is that allowed here to disagree?

Just read galations and then read James both together
the Bible cannot disagree
talking about different laws

YES!
:)
talking about two different laws!
thats it!

we have two confused groups here on two different subjects
all the Bible agrees
get the subject right and you will see
stop talking apples and oranges

galations is about both laws and romans is talking about sacrificial laws and james talks about ten commandment laws
once you know what you are talking about you will see.
you cannot ignore the whole Bible

the nten commanments are eternal eternal eternal
put them out of the discussion.
David said so.

see james responded to the fanatics who, when told not to circumcize, wanted to throw out the ten commandments too
hmmm
there may be some of those here too.
well read James, he was the brother of Jesus by mary.
younger than Jesus.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

The liberty in Christ is the freedom from the slavery of sin. One has to be saved by Him to have this liberty and with this liberty one can choose whether to obey His commandments.
Just as the Israelites were slaves in Egypt they didn't have a choice. They had to go by the law of Egypt to survive. It's only when they were saved and out of Egypt that they had a choice. A choice to follow God or to go their own way.
They served as an example how they said they followed God but in their actions they rebelled against Him.
c.f. 1 Cor 10

sin is the transgression of the law.
freedom from transgression of the law is power to keep the law

Jesus says I give you power to do the works of God which are righteousness.

Jesus says GO and SIN NO MORE
sin is the transgression of the law (JOHN)
Go and transgress the law no more

do we make void the law? HEAVEN FORBID says Paul yea we ESTABLISH it hold it up watch it follow it

we are not under the law
we are not under arrest

God forgives if we speed again and ask for forgiveness
70 x 70
but our duty is to pray for strength to keep the law

for god sake
David prayed that prayer daily

help me keep the law
i blew it
help me keep the law
i blew it
etc etc

and that is sanctification

God loved David
go read psalm 119

god is merciful we need to be christians like David who always repent and ask for help to keep the word of God

drunks expected to stop drinking
yes they are
theives expected to pay back
yes they are
covetous expected to sell all they have and give to the poor
yes they are

the law is not nailed to the cross that is another gospel...

you see?

cop catches you speeding
you admit you speed
he arrest you
you are under the law
you are in trouble
in jail you go to judge
his son says Ill pay the fine
ok thank you
I am free
now
is there still a speed limit?
yes
dont try it again

Paul says
if we CONTINUE in sin the blood of Jesus no longer covers us

so
Jesus forgives
and our duty is to stay in the limits and not kill steal lie cheat and covet

does this make sense to you>

the judge does not THROW OUT THE SPEEDING LAW
no
he FORGIVES YOU and you are not UNDER ARREST
you are not under the law

see, most christians dont understand the meaning of under the law and in no way
in now way
are we free to ignore the law

for in the judgement day
you WIILL be judged y the law.

you can find that verse just read james

It's all because of one thing. The convenience factor.
The general public does not have a problem with the last 5 of the ten commandments because generally speaking, all claim they are good for the welfare of man. No one knows if anyone offends them in the heart, so as the first 3. But when it comes to the 4th, it has to do with changing one's life style and it's difficult.
Same goes with the festivals.
Thus Constantine gave the people an easy way out and the rest is history.

of course
but t get them to admit it is like Jesus getting the Jews to love him

they dont wanna

actually o

sorry

the big pproblem is commandment number TEN
