Everything God does is on purpose. Some of us may have been an "accident" to our parents but not to Him. He has equipped you with the tools and resources to impact the lives of others in ways they wouldn't have been able to do themselves. That how important you are to Him. You were created with certain skills, some developed, some still raw, and some not even discovered yet.

So I pose this question: what is your passion? everyone has a passion, some have more than one. But, what is it that one that makes you tick. What really you do that you just completely lose track of time. This is your passion. This passion in you was of His design. It is for your purpose and His plan.

With this passion ask of the Lord this "Father, enlighten me of your reason for me. Show me how to use this passion to serve others for your Glory." I absolutely know He will unveil to you a way to transform lives all while doing what you love. All the while developing your skills and getting better, more efficient, and with greater results as you grow in our purpose.

He didn't design us to serve Him in a way that is not fun and difficult. He loves us to much. Package this passion, the talents and resources He has gifted you, and your love for the needy and be His Body on Earth. This my brothers and sister is the "purpose filled life" GB and enjoy the journey!

P.S. if you have difficulty finding a way to use your passion for service I'll be more than happy to help you discover a way.

EXAMPLE 1)Im sure the one who developed this site had a passion for geeky stuff. I cant fathom the effect a site like this has had on the world. we see and appreciate the surface but take a look behind the curtain. Take just one person with a knack for computers and the passion to spend their time building this site. Not to diminish their work or accomplishment but this didn't take a Ph.D. just the passion required to see it through and skills Gifted to him/her to continue educating themselves. I don't think anyone can say this site doesn't change lives.
You don't have to conceive some elaborate idea to get going. Just start with these 2 questions
1)"How can I make one person, who otherwise wouldn't have, make the right decision that will ultimately lead to the betterment of there life.

-OR-

2)How I create for them the opportunity to attain a basic need the otherwise couldn't get on there own

Example 2) I have a Scripture written on my tailgate that I bought from a Christian website. Serves a great purpose to those that see it and it is the product of one's passion and skills to develop it

Maybe you aren't computer savvy, whatever your passion there is a part in the grand plan for you to add your unique abilities whether alone or part of a team to live out the purpose of your life.

I have actually been praying for some guidance this, thanks!!! The only problem is that I am not passionate about anything. I play sport but not particularly passionate about it; just like playing in my free time. I am also starting med school in September (God willing!), but I am not passionate about that either. The only reason I'm doing it is because I like engaging with people and my grades were good enough, so my parents steered me towards it. I dont have a distinct talent - I am more of a jack-of-all-trades.

I have prayed and prayed on it, but so far to no avail.

What do you think I should do?

"...Im not passionate about that either. the only reason im doing it is because i like engageing with people and my grades were good enough....Im more of a jack of all trades."

"because i like engaging with preople" = your passion

"med school-grades good enough" = your talent

"jack of all trades" = your skill

You have a greater mental capacity than most, versitle, and socialy engaging. What amazing traits.

I'll pose this concept to you. Pick one need of someone who cannot meet that need because they dont posses internally or externally what you have. They, on there own cant meet this need. However through Christ all things are possible. Christ our Savior has a heart for the poor and destitute.

Here is a illustration, a young man loves to play soccer, favorite thing to do. soccer was his passion. He wasnt real good but he loved to play.
Also in india is a little boy that loves to play also, however his fishing community is poor and no adults have enough income to purchase a ball. So him and his friends go without.

The man realizing the poor boy not getting to share in the thrill of the game looks around CC for a foreign flag and ask one brother if he knows of some boys like this. And after a short conversation link up to get a couple of balls shipped to his CC brother to be given to the community. The ball is shipped with a note "i prayed to Jesus and He said that He wanted yall to have these ball." And on the ball was the scripture John 3:16. Later his indian CC brother sent a snap shot of the "team photo" that now hangs next to the others.
He began putting aside $10 a week and once a year through CC connections creates a link to meet a need in a poor community.
And now his hallway is a reminder the power of God and the Love of our Savior Jesus Christ.
That is what a purpose filled life is like.

That is a great illustration. But it seems like all of the traits I seem to have that you listed are only useful for me. I don't know how I can transfer those traits to help others and bring others closer to Jesus. Plus I live in London, post-modernism and relativism is on the rise and Christianity is in sharp decline, so if I try to engage with anyone socially, the fact I am a practising Christian will always shorten any conversation. I can't evangelise, seeing as I am relatively young in my Christian faith.

Sorry if it seems like I'm pestering you guys, just really need to find this out!

No tyrone, I appreciate the dialog because it will allow us to go through the process of discovery together while enlightening others with the same curiosity. Lets try like we did in school and back calculate.

What in your heart is a need of another that just grips your heart when you see or hear of? Let us answer that question internally as well with a response below. I invite any of us to answer this question in a post below. (I promise you are under no obligation, as the commercials say. :)) This is the really the first step in coming to know your purpose in life.
