I rarely ever seen Tebow getting dogged for praising Jesus, not anymore then Sam got for being a homosexual. (i'd argue that Sam got dogged more, but perhaps I am missing the Tebow hate as I rarely seen any)
also, anyone think its Tebow's lack of playing skills on the nfl level that is the reason he gets dogged?
Oh, Tebow got dogged and criticized a LOT more than Michael Sam, there's no doubt. I'm surprised to hear you say that you rarely ever saw Tebow getting "dogged". It happened virtually at every game he played.
honestly tebow was a draft bust which is why no team will keep him and why Denver got rid of him for Manning

Michael Sam has everyone's attention and support/approval. So what if he hasn't played a down in the NFL? He's getting a lot more approbal than Tebow ever did. Tebow was criticized on Sports Center during his run with the Broncos REGULARLY. And plenty of other tabloids have had their fair share of comments to offer up on Tebow as well. I mean... I'm not a Broncos fan but I follow football closely enough to where I can still remember how bad it was and how critical the media was of Tebow.

If he was dogged was it for him being a Christian? or was it for his play? I rarely seen Tebow get dogged for being a Christian, if my memory is correct I can only recall someone tell Tebow to Shut the (insert curse word here) at the combine after Tebow wanted to pray or something like that and I also recall a former player telling him to tone it down with his faith talk. Other then that I didn't really hear many rumblings of people dogging Tim about his faith. (feel free to bring up some if I missed any) On the other hand I have heard an ex football player call the kiss between Sam and his boyfriend "disgusting" and another player from college say "Really ESPN" when showing the kiss. Personally I think Sam will have a harder time in the NFL then Tebow did in regards to criticism, the fact that Sam is the first openly gay NFL player says that this type of thing is a tough thing to do.

why you feel you must defend a homosexual football player (SAM)
over a Christian (TIM) ......
I see you are not certain about your being loved by Christ.
Jesus is not hard to seek, and He is loving toward all. You are on
a Christian site. That is good of you to be here seeking Christian
fellowship. You will find we do not and can't speak well of a sin
of homosexuality. This is why so many are having to speak out
against the NFL and their choice, and or the photo of the kiss.
It is a sin against all God has created for human beings.
I hope you understand it is necessary to confess to Jesus our
sins and repent of them, and He is faithful and just to forgive,
then you invite Him into your heart.
Later as you mature in Him and get to know His Word, you
will understand the issue of homosexuality and all other sins
are no longer permissible for Christians to participate in.

that speak of Christ and what He did for us on the Cross

What does you living 8 miles west of the Pro Football HOF have to do with assessing Tebow? I live a couple miles from a nuclear reactor, does that mean I know how to split an atom? All Tebow ever did was WIN when given the chance. He won a National Championship, a Heisman trophy, and made it to the AFC divisional playoff round. Yup, from a mechanics standpoint he doesn't throw very well, but who cares if you WIN. He is not in the NFL today almost exclusively because he was an outspoken Christian. To compare a marginal, weak, slow linebacker, or undersized weak D-lineman(SAM) to an accomplished Tebow is absurd.
This is quite possibly the greatest thing I've agreed with on. Tebow was a star in college because Urban Meyer tailored the entire Florida Gators team to highlight his strengths. I am a huge Tebow but in the NFl his option style of play simply doesn't transfer well. He could have been an above-average tight end or running back but his pride kept him from taking on those non-QB roles. For people to act like the ONLY reason he isn't playing is because of his outspoken beliefs are people hiding their heads in the sand to the facts and looking for persecution where there is none.
All I am asking for is some evidence to back up the claim that Tim Tebow has been criticized for his faith so much more then Micheal Sam as others have stated, if there is this mountain of evidence of Tim Tebow being criticized for his faith more then Sam being criticized for being gay, I would glady agree that yea Tim has had a lot of criticism for his faith, but I haven't seen that much and this is as a Tim Tebow fan (bought the Tebow Jets shirt and he didn't even start a game) and NFL supporter

It isn't about Sam Vs Tim in this situation to me. I am a huge Tim Tebow fan and a month ago I likely didn't even know who Sam was. I just always see a lot of people saying well why were people so hard on Tebow yet let Sam off lightly but when I go on twitter or look at news stories, I simply don't see the above argument as truth.
