Ever since Christ came down to Earth, the "love your neighbor" command extended to even enemies, not just your fellows in circumcision. (Matthew)

The Pope is fulfilling this revised command by not treating peoples of other faith as second-class creations of God.

Call me a terrorist but I would have have some ill feelings myself if someone was blowing up my neighbourhood with drones or forcing me off my land.

It may surprise you but all this is just recent history.

Before 9/11 500,000 children were killed due to medical sanctions in Iraq. Anyhow, I am too tired to go through all that again. Do some digging you can find it all.

You must be one of the few people in the world that still believe the official account. 9/11 truth will come out eventually, I am happy to wait until then.
 
Aren't the one's bombing and looting muslim countries christians?I mean isn't obama a devout christian?

Obama totally for abortions and gay marriage does not exactly indicate he is a 'devout' christian nor even nominal.

Exodus 23:4-5 If you come across your enemy's ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.

To be honest I'm not sure there can be a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem. Not unless we divide the state of Israel into two separate states and give the Muslims half of the Temple Mount. No. Probably not even then. People would still be enraging the Muslims over the Jews ascending their 50% of the Temple Mount. Terror attacks would continue. The only way for peace to exist is to expel the Palestinians or to expel the Jews. We can, however, have better living conditions for the Palestinians by incorporating them into a single state, upholding the principle in the Torah of having the same law for both foreigner and native while at the same time making it clear that the state of Israel would continue to be a Jewish state for Jews. Apartheid perhaps, but only in the fact that Jews would be the main governing body, and they wouldn't legally be able to oppress the "foreigners" among them if they conformed their laws to the Torah. Also, any other strategy involving a one-state solution and the Muslim population in the Middle East would overwhelm and subject the Jewish population beneath its heel. Not to mention Palestinian Muslims incorporated into the Jewish state would still be trying to get their own Palestinian state. So terror attacks would continue. The only difference then would be that there wouldn't be a wall to protect the Jews from the terrorists.

Muslim and Christians leaders generally are not practicing. They both use religion. Christians blame Muslims on the actions of the Muslim leaders and Muslims blame Christians on the action of the Christian leaders. What we have is a vicious cycle that takes people of strong character on both sides to break.
 
Not sure if this meeting will actually take place or even if it does if anything at all will even come out of it besides empty promises, but I see this as a good gesture at the least. I think it is good Pope Francis is trying at least. If such a meeting at least helps tamp down some of the violence in the Levant, then that is a good thing.
 
Not true. Muslims are following the tenants of their religion. This fact seems to have escaped you. Muslims who commit acts of violence and terror in the name of God, can find ample justification for their actions, based on the teachings of the Qur'an and the sayings and examples from prophet Muhammad himself.

The verses in Makkah were mainly on descriptions on paradise and hell fire. There were no real law in Makkah.

The verses in Madinah was on how you should set up a community and how you should act when you defend yourself. Even if the force is a much larger size you must act within limits.

Later when the Muslims became stronger, it was to remove the corruption from the land. Remember the Jewish people were only allowed back into Jerusalem and to worship once the Muslims liberated Jerusalem. The Jewish people who were escaping persecution, ran to Muslim land to seek refuge. Without Muslims having that land the persecuted had nowhere to hide from the inquisition and crusaders.

Remind me to produce the bible verse that prohesised all this removal of corruption.

It was only recently that Muslims have lost the plot and people qualified as engineers have been releasing interpretation on the Quran. This was all predicted when Muslims were at their peek.

Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "A time will come when the nations (of the world) will surround you from every side, just as diners gather around the main dish. Somebody asked, 'Oh Messenger of Allah, will it be on account of our scarcity at that time?' He said, 'No, but you will be scum, like the scum of flood water. Feebleness will be in your hearts, and fear will be removed from the hearts of your enemies, on account of your love for the world, and your abhorrence of death.'" [Ahmad, Abu Dawud]

So everything that is happening to the Muslims now I see as punishment that was predicted 1400 years ago. I put a lot of the blame on Muslims. How do Muslims get their blessing back.

For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah . Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.

Change ourselves and start acting as we should.

There is a clear agressor here.

Where Israel is now is NOT the homeland, if such can be said of nomads, of the palistinian peoples.

To not see these facts can only be explained by the same reasonings that Israel is hated, bigotry.
