OK so I know I could have continued this in my previous post "Satan deceives w/ sings and wonder....." but since I think this should have its own room for debate/thought/ whatever it may arouse I'll start a new post. Like I mentioned in my previous post I've always believed there is a rapture (how I was brought up, never thought I was getting milk sermon so didn't feel the need to question it and maybe also for lack of trying to seek the truth till recently, sadly) but recently I've come to a jaw-dropping eye opener that there may not be a rapture after all based on several scripture.

2 Thessalonians 2:2-8 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

I see no rapture here. 'That Day' always refers to the Day of tribulation/judgement. - as stated by crossnote

Revelation 7: 9- 14. 9 After this I looked, and behold, a GREAT MULTITUDE that NO ONE could number, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen." 13 Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, "Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?" 14 I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones coming out of the GREAT TRIBULATION. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

I am in awe of how something I'm sure I've read before was overlooked, but glad that I may be finding the Truth I am seeking. I don't know if there is something on this but its new to me and just wanted to share. haha :p

As sure as God made little green apples... The Rapture will happen . And as prophecy goes it will be quicker then most people think, and when you see these things taking place upon the earth look up for behold I come. Enjoy.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

I think I should be more specific I guess I meant Rapture before tribulation.. I know those saved will be called to him, but I always thought it was before the tribulation.

That's not what the bible says. It does say that God will spare us from his wrath but do you think He can not do that with us here on earth?

If you want a correct and real in depth study of end times google Joe Schimmel the revelation series podcasts. It's really long. I've been listening for about an hour every day for the past two months.

They are a little over an hour each. Sometimes he spends 4 weeks in one chapter, about 5 hours.

Sinnner,

Do you believe in a pre or post trib rapture of the Church? Joe Schimmel teaches a post trib rapture and conditional security (that it's possible to fall away from the faith even after being saved).

BTW, has Joe Schimmel given away that $10,000 yet?

If only Christians would read Revelation with an open mind. It was inspired by Jesus and written by John in chronological order. Jesus tells us His plan for the Church in Rev. 3:10 and call us home in Rev. 4:1. Lukewarm Christians will complain that Rev. 4:1 "Come up hither" is Jesus' call to John only and not the rapture of the Church, but these same lukewarm Christian can't explain why there are twenty four elders (Rev. 4:10) bowing before Him casting their crowns before His feet. These twenty four elders are the leaders of the various groups of the Church who were raptured in Rev. 4:1. These are not angels or spirited beings ... but full bodied saints whose bodies were made like Jesus. In Rev. 4:10 these 24 elders pushed their crowns at Jesus' feet meaning the Judgment Seat for all raptured Christians had taken place. These 24 elders are also mentioned in Revelation: Chapter 5. And we hear absolutely nothing about the Church's movement until Rev. 19 when the King of kings & Lord of lords returns to earth with His bride (the Church) during the Second Coming.

The Book of Revelation is not easy to understand but at the same time it is not that difficult if one take the time to put the pieces together since it is in chronological order.

The reason Paul wrote 2 Thess 2, to the Church was, There were people that said the Church has to go through the tribulation period, They said it either by word or letter, V2.
So Paul wrote 2 Thess 2, To encourage the Church that they would be raptured before the man of sin comes.

v3, 6-7 Is the pre-trib rapture.
Then the man of sin can come. v8.

We also see the pre-trib rapture and the second coming in v1.
The coming of the Lord, AND our gathering together unto Him.
The "Coming of the Lord", Is after the tribulation, And the gathering together is pre-trib.
The "Gathering together", cannot be the coming of Jesus, Because we come back with Him. 1 Thess 2: 19. 1 Thess 3: 13.

Rev 7: 9---15, Is the Jews and some other people who get saved during the tribulation period.
It cannot be the Church, because we go before the tribulation.

So that's where you get your false information from. If I was you, I would stay with what the Bible says.
