O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
thou understandest my thought afar off.

Thou compassest my path and my lying down,
and art acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.

Thou hast beset me behind and before,
and laid thine hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

(Psalm 139:1-6)

Hebrews 12:1) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 .) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 .) For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.

It is not for kings to drink wine,
or for rulers to take strong drink,
lest they drink and forget what has been decreed
and pervert the rights of all the afflicted.

Give strong drink to the one who is perishing,
and wine to those in bitter distress;
let them drink and forget their poverty
and remember their misery no more.

Open your mouth for the mute,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Romans 8:31-39

God's Everlasting Love

[SUP]31 [/SUP]What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be[SUP][i][/SUP] against us? [SUP]32 [/SUP]He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? [SUP]33 [/SUP]Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. [SUP]34 [/SUP]Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[SUP][j][/SUP] [SUP]35 [/SUP]Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? [SUP]36 [/SUP]As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

[SUP]37 [/SUP]No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. [SUP]38 [/SUP]For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, [SUP]39 [/SUP]nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NIV

Romans 15:4For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Ecclesiastes 7:16

Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?
To stay humble is key then:
2 Corinthians 12:21 and lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

The Lord Jesus Himself humbled Himself, when He became obedient unto death (Philippians 2), and so we ourselves are hardly somehow immune from this responsibility.

[h=3]Titus 3:3-5[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]3 [/SUP]For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. [SUP]4 [/SUP]But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, [SUP]5 [/SUP]not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

To be humbled I think maybe so, possibly a big yes, because with being humbled much suffering does come does it not? Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Are we willing to suffer for the cause of Christ? Are we willing to stand fast and be stedfast in the Faith
[h=3]Colossians 1:21-23[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]21 [/SUP]And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled [SUP]22 [/SUP]in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: [SUP]23 [/SUP]if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Jude 1:21) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 .) And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 .) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 .) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 .) To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
