If P_rehein was right, How would we know when the Spirit is interceding with groaning's.

Lets look at Rom 8: 26, and see what the Greek says.
The meaning of, "Helpeth", is made up of two Greek words and their meanings are, , [1]Stand together with, [2]Against.
So the Holy Spirit stands together with us, Against the problems that is hindering our prayers.
The meaning of, "Infirmities", in this verse, means, "Our inabilities to produce results.
So thank God the Holy Spirit comes to help us, He doesn't do it on Him own, He needs our voice to intercede.

The meaning of, "Maketh intercession with groaning's which cannot be uttered", is, They cannot be spoken in our native tongue, or understood by our minds.
The Holy Spirit helps us pray, So as we pray then pray in tongues, [As we should], The Holy Spirit can take over and use our tongues to intercede for us.

Those of us who have had this experience, Know when the Spirit takes over our tongues, They become different.

Sometimes the Spirit weeps through us, He groans through us, sometimes He gives us a vision of what He is interceding for.

It is when the Holy Spirit is interceding for us, that all things work together for our good, Rom 8: 28.
 
just so everybody knows I believe in speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and I also believe that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. When we pray in tongues it bypasses our flesh and the Spirit prays the will of the Father and not our own.
 
You know what is hard is when you have a really personal experience with the Lord and then you find it is described in the bible and you try to explain it to other people but they would rather argue...

I've heard people who have talked in tongues that I know is not a language I have heard before but I know it is a language. I've heard other people pretend to talk in tongues but they are just babbling. How did I know the difference? Just like when you listen to babies. Sometimes they are saying different words looking right at you explaining something, but you can't understand a word they say. Sometimes they are just making sounds and are enthralled by their own voice.

The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groans that cannot be uttered. Instead of focusing on the groans we should be focusing on the fact that the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us!

Its inexplicable. Unexplainable. Its not about us or what we think we are doing. It is about the Holy Spirit interceding for us. We may have had a glimpse of it but I don't think we could exactly explain it sufficiently to someone else. We can just say we know that we know and that's the best explanation we can give.

The only way we know if a person is babbling in tongues, is if the Holy Spirit reveals it to us.

The Holy Spirit interceding for us with groaning's, Isn't unexplainable to those who know the Greek Biblical texts, Know the Holy Ghost and have experienced the Holy Spirit overtaking their tongues to intercede.

Its not talking about us interceding for ourselves and the Spirit helping us with the gift of tongues.

Its talking about the Spirit interceding for us because we don't know what we should be praying for. We don't know what to do. Using a gift of tongues is not the same thing.

Not everyone has the gift of tongues, do they? But the intercession of the Holy Spirit to help our infirmities is for all Gods people. And it isn't necessarily happening while we are praying or even fully aware of it.

You need to keep it very short and simple on cc. One of my posts included a lot of God principles that required much bible study to understand, I was told I didn't give enough scripture. When I told where the scripture came from, like from a search of all the verses of the bible about law so all could be put together, I was told that wasn't specific enough, they wanted one verse or I would be put on ignore! Bible students aren't welcome on CC.

I think the short and simple of this portion of Romans is that prayer includes quietly listening to God, blocking out all other thoughts.

if your praying in tongues do you know what you are praying?

If you are right, how would we know when the Holy Spirit is interceding for us? How does He groan?
The meaning of, "Cannot be uttered", is, cannot be spoken in our native language or understood by our minds.

Praying in tongues isn't us praying for ourselves, It's our spirit that prays, See 1 Cor 14: 14-15.
Then when the Holy Ghost intercedes for us, Our prayer tongue changes, and we know that the Holy Spirit has taken over.

Everyone should speak in tongues, Mk 16: 17.
If you read the New Testament, you will see it is written to Spirit filled people.
The gift of tongues in 1 Cor 12, needs an interpretation and it Isn't the same as Mk 16: 17,
There are eight operations of tongues, The Holy Spirit interceding for us is one of them.

[SUP]23 [/SUP]And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Is the whole creation speaking in tongues?

Is verse 23 saying we speak in tongues within ourselves?

No. Just because something groans and cannot be uttered or understood by our minds doesn't mean it is the gift of tongues.

Well, I don't even see that 'tongues' are for today, now that the Scriptures are complete.

But in any case, Romans 8 does not mention tongues, and the intercession of the Spirit - and of the Lord Jesus - in Romans 8 (verses 26 & 34) is not linked to them.

The Greek word in v23, is, "Stenazo", it means to sigh or grieve.
The Greek word in V26, is, "Stanagmos", it means to grieve, to cry.

And anyone who has let the Holy Spirit intercede for them or through them, has sometimes experienced the Holy Spirit weeping through them.
Plus v26 adds, "Which cannot be uttered", Meaning, Cannot be spoken in our native tongue, or understood with our minds.

Tongues isn't the "Gift of tongues", As in 1 or 12: 10, or v30.
There are eight operations of tongues recorded in the Bible.
Everyone should speak in tongues, because the baptism in the Holy Ghost is for every born again Christian.
And tongues are the Biblical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.

Everyone who was baptised in the Holy Ghost, Spoke in tongues.
Acts 2: 4. Acts 10: 44--46. Acts 19: 2--6, Acts 9: 17, We know that Paul spoke in tongues, Acts 8: 14--17, The Greek meaning for, "Matter" in v21 is, tongues, languages and dialect. They had the same experience as those in Acts 2: 4.
