You make an understandable point Nautilus.
Although kids can get into enough trouble on their own without the parents teaching them how or introducing them to new ways of doing so.
Our job as a parent is not to teach them how to sin responsibly.
But to teach them how not to sin.
How to administer self control, to resist, what temptations to prepare and watch for and give them the tools for how to succeed in overcoming the enemy.
Which is different than simply saying."dont do it" ya know.
In the day those temptations present themselves hopefully and prayfully the child will listen to God's voice.
Just as each of us hear Gods voice whispering in our ear when the enemy strikes.
As a parent we will also be judged by God for what we taught another child of God.
I doubt God would commend on the proper use of condoms before marriage.
What did Jesus keep saying to the fornicators?
Go and sin no more.
What if we just teach them how not to sin at all so they won't have to be told not to do it again(sin no more) after messing up once.
