I actually don't know if it's a good morning or not, as I haven't woken up yet. Or is it that I haven't gone to sleep? I don't know, but maybe this silliness will brighten somebody's morning.

So anyway, you know what I like about mornings? I'll tell you, shall I?

I like coffee.
And the cool air.
And how sleepy/cuddly/smiley my kids are for a whole five minutes.
And how someone brings me my coffee just the way I like it, in my favorite mug. Er...maybe that doesn't happen. Sounds nice, though.

What do you like about mornings? Is it too early to ask that?

Right, I'm off to bed now. Probably. G'nite...morning...thing.

MissCris, like you, I look forward to my morning coffees.

I look forward to food. I eat a hot meal within the first 30 minutes of waking up. It is the first thing I set myself to do in the morning, getting food in to my belly.

I like awakening to a new start, a fresh path to walk that hasn't been walked before, to know I have 16 hours ahead of me that may hold surprises or unexpected pleasantness.

I love the crisp smell of morning, the prickly coolness that kisses my cheek, taking in the warmth and light that slowly floods inside.

Mornings are nice.

Well, I like mornings, but I do start my mornings looking like a zombie, making slow movements like a zombie, talking like a zombie... WAIT, I have been living in a zombie apocalypse this entire time and I didn't even know!?

In reality, my mornings are really average, but some how my brain processes everything with this 'extra pretty and sugary' lens. Its bizarre... I can't just say " I like mornings", I have to get all romantic about it.

My brain does tricks like that too once in a while.
But I always love when people describe their unique perspective on something "mundane", thereby turning "average" into poetic, or romantic, or artistic, or magical.
So you have romantically poetic zombie mornings...?

8.30 here and at work

I like mornings where I can turn in bed and sleep on :p then get up, make breakfast in my sleep, and drink tea while reading a book.

and mornings when I wake up in a tent with a view to cliffs, castles or a nice beach

My mornings involve kid zombies, my Daughter isn't a morning person, my son and I are. I look forward to getting them fed and having a few minutes to myself. :)

Good morning!!

What I like about mornings:

Being able to wake up and talk to God without being bugged
Able to just lay down for a while and enjoy the peacefulness before the day starts
Able to come on here and see all of your bright and smiling faces! Well most of ya!

Though I wish I had coffee....

I started this thread in the middle of the night, so now that it's actually morning I'm sort of like...."Urgh."

But! I'm alive, my kids aren't screaming, my apartment is still standing (hmm, that's a little thread jumping), and I'm feeling more my normal silly self...or that could be the two cups of coffee...dunno.

i love the haziness of morning, where i'm still halfway between sleep and wake, when focus of my life is soft and fresh. it's a blank page of adventure and His mercies are new every morning. while no one would call me a morning person, i definitely wake up in a good mood, usually, and excited about the day.

almost every morning i get out of bed, make a big mug of tea, and climb back into bed to read and clear the fuzziness from my head. eventually i will make a protein shake and check messages/email/texts, all from my bed, of course.

the whole thing takes about an hour, but it's one of my very favorite hours of the day. i really cherish that "ease-into-the-day" routine and pretty much refuse to answer my phone until i'm done. it's one tiny piece of civility in my day that i fiercely guard against those people who like to make rather early morning plans.

i was just talking about this subject with someone, and was saying that after years of getting up while it was still dark to stumble around, hurrying out the door, hyper-caffeinated and embarking on what was usually a 14 hour day (counting travel time) i feel so incredibly blessed to enjoy this kind of a morning instead.

other things i love about the morning:

+going for a run/meander/adventure with chloe while everyone is heading to work (which i don't always get to do early in the day instead of work, but i did today)
+checking to see the birds going to town on the bird feeders outside my window
+checking to see what news stories are trending (or what has happened in my world while i was asleep)

When I awaken in the morning in my virtual world I feel like re-booting. Sort of like re-shuffling the deck of cards. Maybe I will draw a hand that I may be able to play.
