Iraq, What should the US do?

We spent 10 years there. Our loses were 4,487 young men and women, with another 32,223 wounded. It costs over 2 trillion dollars, and will incur another legacy cost of at least 2.2 trillion dollars (most in veteran's benefits and care). In the end what have we accomplished?

Do the actions of the past few days justify any further actions on our part? I may be a voice in the wilderness, but I don't think so. I believe that it's time for the people of the Middle East to wake up and say "we've had enough". Until they do that, they will be the victims of the terror campaigns.

A smart govt., (not a christian, of course not) would guide the two factions, Sunnis and Shi'ites, to deepen their conflict til they've pretty much demolished each other. The trick is to keep both sides pretty even strength wise, while they wear each other down.

If the US was carpet bombed a few times it would look fairly ratty as well. Before the nineties Iraq was a sort after tourist destination. Iraq failed to invade Iran and were looking to move away from using USD. Time for a regime change. A shady deal for Iraq to invade Kuwait and it all come undone. A few thousand bombs later we have Iraq as you see it now.

We have a bad habit of fighting major wars we can't win ... and we know it. Never should have been there in the first place. We should get out and stay out. Bible prophesies are being fulfilled and there is nothing we can do about it militarily. Iraq's location will be a centerpiece in Armageddon.
