CC Talent Show

I am posting this to gauge interest in such an idea.

Still figuring out all the details, though the basic idea would be in order to be involved you would sign up to be an act and then video your "talent" and submit(the logistics of this would be announced later). There would obviously be rules on what would be allowed so as to do our best to not offend anyone. There would be several judges as well as probably a committee to decide of rules and such. The talent show itself would be done via a web meeting(haven't decided on the best software for this yet) in which I would show the videos so that anyone who wanted to watch could do so. The judges would decide on winners and hopefully can come up with some sort of prizes though not sure yet. If there was a huge response with video submissions then the plan would be to categorize and a more than one show, or finalists would be chosen and only those would be in the online talent show.

Thats a mazin idea! You could use something like skype, they only do 1 to 1 video conversations on there but you can have an audio conference with loads of people on there. Just an example

That's a pretty sweet idea, I would totally do that if I could think of something, lol. Why not just have like a few weeks where people submit videos to you, than you just post them all and have everyone can watch them and than the "commitee" votes?

I thought that's what you guys were going to do nayways, than I started to read. I just am thinking for the people that don't have webcams and only have cameras or camcorders. This way they could take part as well.

well if we did it the way I suggested the videos would be presubmitted anyways so wouldn't be live and on webcam

Well that would also make sense, because there could be some content that shouldn't be in there. Makes sense.

I think that despite the lack of votes here that there probably enough people that would be interested, so I am going to go ahead with this idea. Once I have details worked out I will post more info. For those unsure of what this would include, I want to see more than just singing acts, the more interesting the better(clean and within reason of course)

i would do a Talent But I dont have a mic or a webcam or anything to do it with. I love to sing, I was In Chior's all 4 years of High School then had Voice Lessons after that.
