The spirit in the room has definitely changed lately. As I have listened the last few nights to a few of the conversations, I have found several to be sadly offensive. Some have been judgmental and hurtful, while others were simply arguments for the sake of arguments. I understand even in the short time I have been going into the singles room that the dynamic at times has centered around a few specific people. Unfortunately, the room will not work in the long run if that remains the case.
Over time people will come and go, and yes some of the singles in the room will get married. The people who go into the singles chat room need to continue to focus on fellowship and lifting each other up, because somehow over the last few weeks that has seemed to stop. When I first started going in the room, at least once a night I would hear a single pray for another single, but I haven't heard any of that in awhile. Just commiserating over bad experiences.

What happened? Did I miss the rapture? Have y'all run oft and dun got hitched? Did I survive some nuclear war I didn't know about?

I'm not in the forums as much because I think I have enlightened those of you misogynistic heathens who care to listen. The rest of you are beyond hope and you have my pity.

]Really, I have been working on proofreading and editing projects, going to college full-time, parenting, and trying to give my son a decent summer. I have 4 forums that I have to keep up with for college credit, so this one, sadly, must take lower priority until I get that stupid piece of paper that proves I am edjumukated.
I am on livechat every night that I am not staying with family or traveling. Though, we keep getting spill-over from other nameless chatrooms that commandeer the conversation instead of integrating into it. [you know who you are.] In those instances, the sane ones generally find solace elsewhere.

Honestly, if people feel that way, please feel free to say so openly. If I am being "self-centered in posts", I apologize.
I'm aware that most of the threads I've started have been mainly based off of things going on in my world. I'm also aware that they've not been everybody's cup of tea. At any rate, I absolutely never intended to make everything about Me all the time, and I'm sincerely sorry if that's part of the problem here.
